I stepped away from the girl. I couldn't remember her name, and was pretty sure that it started with a C. She refused to tell me anything about the orb, so I did what I had to do. I injured her, making her feel pain. Feel the pain that I felt. The pain of losing my father, when it seemed like I had just gotten him back. The pain of losing everything!

I watched from the hallway for a moment, until I walked through the caves to where the other ninja were. I stood in front of them. Most were asleep, the only one that wasn't asleep, was the spiky haired one. He was glaring at me, and I wasn't surprised. We just glared at each other for about an hour.

Soon I was so overcome with guilt for the girl. I had had some of the remaining ghosts go and try to get the information out of her. By force if necessary. As I went back, I motioned for the ghosts to leave. And walked quietly up to the girl. She looked up to me, and once she saw me, her eyes were wide with fear.

I smiled, trying to be reassuring. She had many scratches on her face, and there was blood on her right hand. She looked scared, and I reached out my hand to her. She stared at it, hesitant to reach out to it. I could only imagine what she was thinking, "This guy hurt me, and now he's trying to help me?".

What I wasn't expecting was for her to reach out her left hand. It was shaking terribly, and once she put her hand on mine, she seemed to calm down a little. Although now I could see the blood on her right hand more clearly. It was a large gash from a sword cut on her palm. She saw me staring at it, and pulled her hand away. "Wait, I only want to help." I said, surprising myself with my words.

She glared at me, holding her injured hand to her chest. I got a better look at her face now. My wound from earlier was still bleeding heavily, with smeared blood all over her face from her hand and other scratches, along with the large gash.

I continued to kneel there a moment more, until she spoke "If you truly want to help me, leave me alone!" She said, her voice icy. I bowed my head, "As you wish." I said, before I stood and walked away. I looked back at her face, that was watching me, before I left the cave.

Some ghosts were about to head in, but I stopped them. "Let her be." I said. They bowed, and I walked onward through the tunnels, not caring where I was going. I walked past a ghost who looked strange. He was standing in front of a cave that dropped off to the ground outside. "It's a beautiful view, isn't it?" I said, looking out at the sun.

The sun was setting over the trees, and beyond that, the sea. He was startled, then relaxed, "Yes, it really is." he said with a sigh. We stood there quietly for about twenty minutes, before the sun was almost set. "I must go." the boy ghost said, before disappearing back into the cave system. I watched, until the sun had set completely, before I turned back inside the caves.

I walked into the main chamber again. The girl had fallen asleep, and I could see her shivering, and grabbed a large piece of cloth off of my throne. I walked over to her quietly, not wanting to disturb her sleep. I knelt, and gently placed the cloth over her, covering everything but her face. She seemed to have smiled in her sleep, and snuggled up close to the blanket like thing. I smiled, and stroked her head for a minute, until I stood up, and walked over to the throne.

I stopped in front of it, "What do you want?" I asked, without turning. I knew who it was, "My Master, shouldn't we get rid of the girl? She will be the end of us if we don't." Morro asked. I turned, anger burning in my eyes, "Nothing is to happen to her!" My green energy lit up on my hands, "Is. That. Clear?" "Of course my Master, it's just..." "I said, is that clear?" "I'm sorry. My king." Morro said, kneeling before me. "Leave." he nodded, and left the cave.

It was the least I could do for the beautiful girl who was in my presence. I looked over at her once more, before I stepped onto my throne. I fell asleep, watching the girl who I had hurt so much. The girls who I would never forgive myself for hurting. The girl I fell in love with.
