Cole had shown up with his friends, and was now introducing me to all of them. He had already told me about Zane, Jay, and Kai, which left the last one with the blonde hair, and beautiful green eyes. "And that one's Lloyd, the Green Ninja." I smiled, and he hid his face from view. He was probably embarrassed, I would be too. After all, it's not every day you see a ninja, let alone a pretty girl. That was what Cole always said, he said I was the prettiest girl ever. I've never believed him.
"It's an honor to meet you, Cleo." he said. "Oh. And I'm sure you know that your brother, is a BOULDER-BRAIN!" Kai said. "He's always been one." I smiled, and burst out laughing. The team joined in, along with Cole, although he was glaring at Kai the whole time.
"So, Cole says that you boys once destroyed Lloyd's treehouse. That true?" I asked. Everyone burst out laughing again. "I still can't believe you guys destroyed it." Lloyd said. "Well, it had a sign that said 'NO NINJA!' so of course we had to destroy it." Jay said. "And to think, now I can't even be in it if it were still here, because I'm a ninja." Lloyd muttered. Cole and I burst out laughing, and the rest of the ninja team followed.
"So, now I'm curious, do you have a favorite battle that we've fought in?" Cole asked, looking at me. "I've always liked the battle against the Overlord and against the ghosts. But I don't like Cole being a ghost." What I said, seemed to make Lloyd blush. "What about you, Lloyd?" "Earth to Lloyd." the boy named Kai said. "Huh?" he asked, looking up. "I was wondering if you had a favorite fight?" I said again, scratching the back of my neck. Lloyd blushed, and I saw him look down at his feet, "I personally liked fighting against Morro." the rest of the team and I started talking about their favorite battles.
"Lloyd, are you alright?" Cole asked after a moment. We had been talking, but Lloyd hadn't said anything. He nodded, without looking up, "Think I just ate the wrong thing this morning." He said. "Well Cleo, I think we have to leave now, Nya and Sensei will get worried." Zane said, I smiled at them. "I have a shop that's a little ways away from here, come by and visit anytime." I said.
All of them thanked me for having them over. I watched Lloyd as he stood up, and almost fell over. "What did you eat this morning?" Kai asked, catching him. Lloyd leaned against him, holding his arm for support. "I think it was something Cole made." he replied, his voice was weak, and he was clenching his eyes shut, in what looked like pain. Kai laughed, and helped him out of my house.
They walked out of my house, and I watched them leave down the street. Lloyd looked like he was struggling with every step. I walked back inside my house, locking the door behind me. I walked down into my basement, and grabbed one of my wrenches. I was working on something for Cole, as a special birthday present. He loved bikes, and he loved me, so I figure that they go together pretty well. I was careful to make sure that there would be no deepstone weapons that could destroy him at where he would be sitting, when I heard a knock upstairs, I walked upstairs, still holding the wrench.
I opened the door, holding the wrench out in front of me. "Ahhhh. All I wanted was to deliver the mail!" the mailman screamed, "Sorry, I've just had... things on my mind." I said. I had been thinking about how Lloyd was acting. I then took the package from him. I shut the door, and set the package down. I used the wrench to open it, and pulled out some type of metal orb. There was a note, and I unfolded it, reading what it said 'Cleo, Lloyd is gone, he disappeared just a while ago. I'm afraid that it's Morro. This might be the only thing that can stop them. Please Cleo, protect this with your life. Only you can control it. -Cole'. There was another knock at my door, and I slipped the orb in my pocket. Luckily it was small enough to fit in it.
I cautiously peeked through the hole. There was a boy, with spiky hair, and wearing a red hoodie. He looked familier to me, and I remembered from earlier that day, a boy that was with my brother. I smiled, 'Must be Kai' I thought, opening the door. "Cleo!" Kai said, running in, and shutting the door with a slam. "Get down!" he hissed. "Um. Why?" I asked.
He looked scared, but I knew he was never going to admit it. "Just do it!" he said. I sighed, and ducked next to him, waiting for about 5 minutes, before Kai peeked out the window. "Good, they're gone." He said, standing up straight, "Who?" I asked. "The ghosts." I stared, at him, my eyes wide with fear.
