Forgiveness
It's what God wanted,
But I didn't...
Until now.
Forgiveness
Is what I didn't know I needed
And didn't know how.
How hard those words are to say
A simple "I forgive you;"
And how much harder it is to feel
That those words are true.
Forgiveness
Can take a lifetime,
Or a minute
-Mine is somewhere in between.
And they would understand it all
If they had seen what I'd gone through;
Then they would know what I mean.
But I want to be renewed;
God wants that for me, too;
So listen closely-
I have something important to say...
I never thought I'd get here,
And it's important for me, too;
I forgive you.
