THREE: A Day With Kaden

Rustle Rustle

I lifted an eye softly as I slept on the couch and heard someone rustling through something. Must be Chico...

"Chico go to sleep..." I said groggily. The rustling continued. "Chico go to-" I turned around and saw that Zynx was on my living room floor shuffling through me and my brother's video games. "Oh...it's just you."

"Happy mornings, Earthling! I have noticed that the rooms in your living space are different." She said happily. Chico, who had just crawled in, meowed in response. "Morning..and yeah houses all have different rooms for different purposes. Anyway let's start the day."

The bacon, eggs, and pancakes were set on the table along with some orange juice. I sat down across from Zynx and ate my breakfast that I had prepared for the both of us.

"What is this food named? It tastes delicious!" I laughed a bit. "It's eggs, pancakes, and bacon." I informed. "And this beverage?" She said pointing to the orange juice. "Well it's orange juice." I said.

"It all tastes so good. I wish to learn how to build the meals!" I chuckled. "Yeah, I'll teach you some recipes."

I continued to eat when suddenly...

"You are very ugly." I was a bit shocked. "So blunt...Y'know...I don't usually cook actual breakfast for just anybody." I told her. "You could've kept that to yourself." I muttered.

"Have I said something wrong?" She asked as she continued to eat her breakfast. "You just called me ugly." I pointed out. She paused and seemed to be processing something before she said, "Oh! Sorry! I meant unique. You are actually quite...pretty?"

"Oh now your insulting me." I said laughing. "But what do you mean unique?" I asked. She smiled. "Well it's just..you don't smile as much as the other Earthlings I've seen on the ships data base."

"Oh...yeah I'm not a big fan of smiling." I got up to wash my dish and after I finished I sat it down in the dish rack.

"Well I'll be going now. Please feed Chico. I forgot to feed him this morning." I stated, grabbing my coat. "Where will you be going?" She asked. "School."

"What is school?"

"A boring prison full of teachers and parasites with lots and lots if books." She got wide eyed and flew over to me, which I still haven't gotten used to. "Don't go there! Why would any earthling go there?" A part of me forgot I can't be figurative with her...

"Sorry I was joking. It's actually it's actually a place of learning and education." She sighed in relief. "When will you be back from 'school'?" I smiled. "Around 4:30. I'll be leaving right after to go to work though. See ya." I shut the door.

On my way to school my phone pinged.

Big Bro: I'll be staying at Mira's for the rest of the week. Apparently we 'don't spend enough time together.' See ya on Monday bro.
