A/N:
Starting a new trend. Song lyrics before every chapter, woot woot! In light of the Christmas season (in real life and in the story) the lyrics for this chapter are from a Christmas song.

Stadiumlicious, and Merry Christmas,

Tessa❤️🎶

I'm offering this simple phrase, to kids from one to ninety-two. Although it's been said, many times, many ways... Merry Christmas to you

Hunters POV:
"Grab your passport, And my hand! I can make the bad guys good for a weekend," Liz sings loudly as we discuss how we're getting to Louisiana.

"Liz that doesn't tell me whether you want to drive or fly," I say, holding back a laugh.

"Yeah it was just a travel thing in a Taylor Swift song. I think we should drive. It makes things easier once we get there. And road trips are great," she tells me.

I nod. "Alright."

She walks over to where I'm sitting on the couch and sits down next to me. Her head droops onto my shoulder and she sighs tiredly.

"You alright?" I ask, wrapping my arm around her and kissing her forehead.

"Yeah. I didn't sleep well last night," she admits.

"Why not?" I ask.

She sighs. "I was just worrying about meeting your entire family. I mean I love your parents, but your cousins and aunts and uncles make me nervous."

"Sweetheart, I can't promise that they'll love you, but I can promise you that I won't let you get cornered in any awkward conversations, and if things get bad we can leave. But I highly doubt that we'll need to. I do have a fairly large family, but everyone is super nice. If anyone isn't nice to you, I'll make sure they get what's coming to them," I promise her.

She sighs and moves so that she's laying down, with her head in my lap.

"I'm gonna take a nap ok? You just do whatever you were doing on your phone before," she tells me

I nod as she makes herself comfortable. She's asleep before long, and she looks adorable. I do some stuff on my phone, checking Twitter and Instagram, and then I just watch her sleep. I brush a strand of hair behind her ear and she doesn't do anything, just keeps sleeping. I make myself comfortable, knowing that I don't have the heart to get up. I don't want to wake her. She wakes up after a while.

"What should I bring with me?" She asks.

"Like, clothes? Umm.... Well there is a party on Christmas night, and it's usually pretty fancy. Christmas morning is just normal clothes. And for the rest of the time, we have dinner reservations one night, but besides that I thought we could just... Hang out," I choose my words carefully.

"By hang out you mean make out don't you?" She says.

I smile. "Yeah. I know what I'm having for dinner most nights."

She sits up and slaps my cheek lightly.

"You're so disgusting!" She tells me.

I smile and kiss her. "But you love me don't you?"

She smiles. "Yeah. That's one of my weaknesses."

I kiss her again. "I don't think of it as a weakness."

She sighs and curls herself into my side.

"Well you're not the one who melts at every touch," she says softly.
