"Umm, hello?" Ellie said, trying to appear friendly.
"Oh great, more people," a tall, muscular red-haired man said as he turned away.
"H-hello there," said a hot pink-haired girl.
Ellie took another look around. It seemed, excluding Sara, Joe, and herself, there were nine people. And 8 of them were in a semi-circle around one man. He was tall, massive, and had very blond. He also had a smug look on his face and eye bags that seemed to indicate he rarely got enough sleep. Trama, maybe? But from what...
"Anyway," the Blond man said, "What are your names?"
"Oh, my name is-"
Joe covered her mouth with his hand.
"Don't tell them, we can't trust these people," Joe said in a whisper.
"Oh..." Ellie looked down at her feet. But why? I mean, they all looked in the same predicament. And what was with those collars? Wait...
Ellie reached for her neck and found a cold strip of metal. What the heck? This wasn't on her when she got here...
"Ah, so you won't tell us," the blond guy said, "That's ok, I guess. My name's Keiji Shinoji."
"Ok..." Ellie said, trying not to look up.
Noticing there was one girl who was sitting on the ground by herself, Ellie walked over to her while Joe continued to talk to Keiji.
"Hey there," Ellie said, taking a seat next to her, "Are you ok?"
She looked up at Ellie but didn't say a thing. She had bags under her eyes, just like Keiji, but she seemed worse. And very, very scared. Whatever happened before she got here, definitely left her in an unstable situation.
Continuing to try and talk to the girl, Ellie asked a different question.
"So, uh, what's your name?"
"K.....K.......Ka...na," the small girl with the bucket on her head stuttered out.
"Kana?" Ellie smiled, "That's such a pretty name!"
"T....t....tha..nks." Kana managed to say.
"You're welcome," Ellie chirped. This poor child....she couldn't have been older than 14. Ellie (assuming she was 14) was just 3 years older than the girl. But all the same, what was a young teen doing here?
"Hey, get up," said a stern voice.
Ellie looked over to where the voice was coming from, afraid it was talking to her. Instead, she saw Keiji standing in front of where Sara was. He poked her face.
"Hellooo?" Keiji said again, appearing to try to wake Sara up. "You can't sit there stupefied forever miss," Keiji again spoke to the just-now awaking Sara. Ellie knew it was impolite to eavesdrop, but she couldn't help but listen. Plus, they were quite close to where she was sitting...
"Eh...?" Sara said groggily, "Where is this?"
"Beats me," Keiji replied. Ellie rushed over to help Sara stand up while Keiji went back to talking with the other people in the room.
"Ah..." Sara said, finally getting back onto her feet.
"..."
Sara stared off into space, probably thinking to herself. After a few seconds, Ellie decided to break her trance.
