( A/N: So i've realised that my writing is a lot to read. Like content wise, I tend to go overboard but I will try to write some smaller ones instead of these full length motion pictures.)

9:30pm

The two of you were trying to navigate yourselves through the mob of partygoers. Both of you cradling your drinks close to you,as if they were your children, to avoid any accidents or major spillages.
"You're here now, there's no use leaving." Due to the blasting music and crowds of people, you two were shouting into each other's ears. "But Court I didn't want to be here in the first place, would it really make a difference if I left? And will you please stop.pulling. me. It hurts!" You tried yanking your arm out of her surprisingly strong grip. "Oh stop being such a baby, see I've stopped." She was brushing your arm as if to get dirt off. Maybe she should try a bit harder to get the bruises off, they were already purple. "Now come on, Cheer up and stop being such a moody bitch !" Her focus was on the crowd as if she were looking for someone, someone to hookup with most likely.

And then she was sucked into the crowd.
"I'm not moody." You said pouting into your drink.

"The same please." You said to the bartender. As he turned you quickly added " Oh ! And keep 'em coming." He nodded and turned back around.
You sighed and sat at the barstool. It had been, what felt like forever, since Courtney left you to fend for yourself. You had mainly kept to the side and out of the way, trying your best to not be seen. This house was huge, assuming it was someone's house and not a bloody museum. I mean. It had a bar, that's more than you could ever say unless a mini fridge counts as a bar.
Courtney was the one who was actually invited, one of the girls on her course apparently dated the guy that lived here, some preppy guy. And she asked Courtney to "come check it out". Being Courtney's dorm mate and the lazy sod that you are she thought it'd do you good to get out and "live your life the way future you would've wanted", so here you are.

After your 5th drink of the night you decided to get up and explore. The music could still be faintly heard through the floorboards as you climbed the grand staircase.
After countless times of walking in on couples, being far to intimate for your likings and a few people hunched over toilet bowls you came to a corridor on the third floor. It was empty and fairly dark apart from a strip of light under one of the doors. Your curiously got the better of you so you walked up to the mahogany door and twisted the golden handle. Peeking inside the slight gap you saw a fireplace to the far left side of the room. You opened the door a bit more to spy a large red chesterfield leather sofa opposite the fire which seemed to be lighting the majority of the room. Considering you hadn't been caught yet, you decided to open the door fully only to be met with a large and extravagant library.
As soon as you stepped further into the room you felt the warmth of the fire that was encasing the room. Apart from the fire and a single rustic oil lamp on one of the tables there was no other source of light being pitch black outside. The room had an orange glow creating a snug and overall pleasant atmosphere. You decided to explore a bit more, looking at all the shelves. There was a wide variety of books on offer that were all in mint condition, you felt guilty just for breathing near them.
You wondered if the owners ever actually read them or just kept them there for show.
