Imagine trying to hide something from Johnny
You were walking your usual way home from work, when you decided to take a more scenic route through the park. You'd finished your shift early and the earlier showers had left the pavements slippery making the park even more appealing.
Autumn was your favourite season by far. The trees were either empty or they held an orange or red tinge making the scene look so warm.
You held your bag strap tighter as you trekked through the autumn scenes, taking it all in, when you came across a bench that had a cardboard box underneath it. You thought nothing of it at first, until the box started to move. Thinking it was a squirrel or mouse, you kept walking. But then the box whined. This made you stop, and you slowly turned around to examine the box. It was silent so you stalked up to it, afraid something would jump out. It whined again. You stood up straight looking around the park for any sign of life only to find it completely empty.
On closer inspection, you saw the box had writing on it in black marker but it had been smudged and distorted by the rain. The box also appeared to be soggy. You grabbed a stick near the bench and used it to pull the box closer, still hesitant. Inside the box was a wet blanket that from the looks of it used to be baby blue blanket but had just faded grey. Another whimper came from the box and you felt the sudden urge to unfold the blanket. Only to find the smallest clump of fur in the corner of the box trying to nuzzle into the slimy blanket. You crouched down to try and get a closer look and move the blanket out of the way. All the while the ball of fur was still whimpering and seemed as afraid as you were.
Then it moved. As it moved out of its ball, it looked up to see what was disturbing it only for you to realise it was a little puppy. It was all dirty and wet, it's fur stuck to it making it look bald. He was tiny and clearly malnourished and his eyes were bulging making it look more weak and helpless. You immediately reached into your bag trying to find something to feed it with. You found half of a sandwich you had left during your lunch break and ripped the chicken inside into small little pieces. You took a small bit, reaching your hand into the box. The puppy cowered but then caught the smell of the chicken, you watched as it's nose twitched and stuck out trying to get a good smell of the chicken. You held it out further and it hesitantly nibbled at it. Once it got a taste it suddenly snatched it out your hand, wolfing it down and confirming he was starving. You gave the little thing more pieces until you eventually ran out. The puppy then came running to your side of the box, expecting more food, begging for more. The sight made your heart break and you took pity on the little thing. You decided you definitely couldn't leave it here, you'd take care of it and clean it up and then take it to the vet or a kennel tomorrow.
You took your scarf off and reached in slowly to try and pick the dog up. It seemed scared at first but you moved slower trying not to make it panic.
"Come on, it's okay... that's it." You cooed.
The dog weighed next to nothing and the little thing was shivering making you wrap the towel tighter around him.As you walked home, the dog was still shaking. The picture made you disgusted. Who could willingly adopt an animal, a baby as well, only to abandon him in the rain. It was horrible and people like that really didn't deserve to be pet owners if they weren't going to take any responsibility. You were stopped in your thoughts when you came to your door. Reaching into your bag to get your key, you were careful not to drop the puppy.
Once you were settled and into more comfy clothes, you took the puppy with you into the bathroom and placed him in the tub to stop him escaping. You went into your kitchen and rummaged around the fridge to look for any ham or meat, then placed it all into a bowl with a separate bowl for water and took it into the bathroom with you.
You placed the bowls on the windowsill and rolled your sleeves up while the dog stared at you in confusion.
"Right then buddy, what to do with you ..." you decided to look online, scrolling through your phone for a good ten minutes.

Johnny Depp 🍯- imagines
RomanceJust fluff and angst with young Johnny and reader. My chapters are quite long but they are one shots and different stories, I also do take requests. There might be vague descriptions of lemons. Nothing to explicit or graphic though.
