A Hogwarts Reunion

The Letter

Hermione Malfoy woke up beside her loving husband Draco Malfoy. "Good morning," Draco said. "Good morning," Hermione replied with a smile. Wondering how lucky she had been to get to marry the love of her life. She leaned in for a kiss right when their two kids ran into the room. "Mummy I'm hungry," there youngest Scorpius Malfoy whined. Lyra didn't even bother she just cuddled up next to her daddy. "Good morning kids," Hermione said slightly disappointed that their moment had gotten interrupted. "Come one kids. I'll make you some breakfast," Draco said while getting up. "Yay!" Scorpius exclaimed running into the kitchen. Draco then headed into the kitchen with Lyra in his arms. Hermione laughed while getting up. "I'm going to get dressed real quick. Then I'll come and eat with you guys." she said. "Alright." Draco called back. Once she had finished getting dressed she made her way into the kitchen to find her kids sitting at the table happily munching on some chocolate chip pancakes, fruit, and juice. "I made you a plate," Draco said gesturing to the plate of food and cup of coffee. "I'll be back. I'm going to go change." he said while giving Hermione a quick kiss on the lips before leaving. Hermione hummed in response before going and sitting down with her kids. She had just sat down when their family owl landed on the window sill. In his beak were two letters. Confused she got up and got the letters and walked back to the table, but not before giving the owl a treat. She flipped it over and saw the Hogwarts seal. Hmm I wonder what this could be Hermione thought to herself. She opened the envelope and opened the letter.

Dear Miss Hermione Granger,

We are pleased to invite you to a Hogwarts reunion. You and your family are welcome to attend. There will be a room where you can drop off your children before the reunion begins. There will be a dance so we ask that you dress in your best dress robes. The reunion will be held on September 24 from 5 p.m to 11 p.m. This event will be in the great hall of Hogwarts. I hope to see you there.

Shocked at the letter she just stared at it. Assuming Draco had gotten the same one she called for her husband. "Draco can you please come here," Hermione called from the other room. "Coming," Draco called. He came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "What's that?" he questioned looking at the letter in her hands. "It's a letter inviting us to a Hogwarts reunion," she replied. "Really?" he asked confused. "Yes. Do you want to attend?" she asked. "When is it?" Draco asked. "September 24th," Hermione replied. "That's in three days!" he responded. "Yes. It's a tight turn around but our shops are fully equipped to handle business without us." Hermione said. "Well I only want to go if you're comfortable with it." he said. "I think we should  go," she said confidently. "Besides it would be nice to see Harry and Ginny again. I do think we should ask if  Blaise and Theo are planning on attending as well." she told him. As if on cue the Zabini and Nott families flooed in. "What are you psychic?" asked Draco. "We were just talking about you guys." he continued. "No we just had a play date planned for the kids." Blaise replied. "Okay kids why don't you guys go upstairs and play while your parents and I talk about a couple of things." Pansy Nott instructed. She got a chorus of yes mum and yes aunt Pansy, and with that the kids were gone. "I'm assuming you guys got the letters too?" asked Luna. The Nott and Malfoy families nodded in response.  "Are we really going to this?" Pansy asked. "I think we should go," Hermione replied. "Besides like I told my husband it will probably be good to see some of our old friends," she said. "I agree with Hermione," Luna replied giving her an encouraging nod. "Speak for yourself. You'll probably be welcomed. Us not so much," Pansy scoffed. "Most of the wizarding world is still pissed that we sided with Voldemort. Even though we didn't really have a choice. It was join or be killed," she continued. "You have a point, but you should go  just to show everyone that you're alive and kicking," Hermione said. "Show everyone that even though all that horrible stuff happened in the past you've moved on, started a family, and have a new life," "Okay fine," she relented. "But only if Theo, Blaise, and Draco agree to go as well," Pansy said eyeing the other two. " Us Slytherins have to stick together," The two boys nodded in agreement. "The next thing to worry about is are we going to tell the kids?" she questioned. The other parents nodded. "Yes. We definitely need to tell them. To at least give them a warning about what may or may not happen," Blaise said. "I agree. We've been gone for such a long time. There will most likely be some mixed reactions to us attending, and who accompanies us, " Draco said. "KIDS PLEASE COME DOWNSTAIRS," Theo yelled. " WERE COMING DAD," yelled Timothy Nott. You could hear the thumping of feet on the staircase as the kids ran down. "What's going on?" Lyra Malfoy questioned. "Well you know about the school that we all attended together," Luna asked. The kids all nodded. "We were invited to a Hogwarts reunion and we've all decided to go. Our families were invited as well so you guys will be coming too," Draco continued. "WE'RE GOING TO HOGWARTS?" the children yelled excitedly. The parents all exchanged smiles with each other. "Yes but we just wanted to warn you about the people there," Theo said. "You know how we told you about the war that happened?" Hermione asked. The kids nodded while listening to Hermione intently. "Well you see your Aunt Luna and I were on one side and your Aunt Pansy, Uncle Blaise, Uncle Theo, and my husband Draco were on the other side. The bad guy side," she said. "With us on different sides we just wanted to warn you about the potential hostility your aunt and uncle may receive," Luna said. "But why would they be mad?" questioned a confused Skylar Zabini. "Sometimes good people do bad things, but for the right reasons," Hermione said.  The kids nodded in understanding. "That's all," Tho said. "You guys can go back upstairs and play," he said. "Okay," they said in unison. They turned around and left. Fore the rest of the day the kids played together and the adults talked and hung out together.
