"I saw that you guys were having some trouble" The bearded man said.
The guy in the truck who was holding a rifle had pulled over and came up to the group and their car. He didn't come out with his gun; only with his black leather jacket, black sunglasses and a half-used cigarette in his mouth. He had an unexpected foreign accent that was Dee could easily figure out he was hispanic.
Dee tried her best to hide her anxiousness from the older man. He seemed to be in his early forties. Dee had subconsciously moved closer to Jungkook, who was currently standing in a stiff posture. Everyone had gotten out of the car to see what was happening.
"Our car battery is all used up, a tow truck is on it's way" Dee lied, not wanting to risk her or her friends's safety. The man puffed out a small cloud of smoke before taking the cigarette from out of his mouth "Ah okay. You guys look thirsty. I have some cold water bottles in the back of my truck if you guys want one" He told them.
"Oh god yes please" Hosek immediately agreed. The man gave the group a genuine kind smile, which lowered their nervousness and suspicion, and walked back to his truck to take out the waters for the group.
"Hosek what the fuck, he's a damn stranger! He could be a sex trafficker for all we know!" Harin scolded her older brother.
"Calm down Harin, he didn't do anything yet. Let's just wait until he comes out here to see if he really is anybody dangerous" Jimin said. He had taken off his jacked that he had on and was only in in t-shirt and jeans. He rolled his neck around cracking it, his prominent veins bulging each time he rolled his head to crack it.
The man came back, this time with his leather jacket off also and only in his plain white tank top. Not only did he have a case of fresh cold water in one hand, he also had a black large toolbox in his other with a car battery. The man was extremely buff and bulky, as if he had been working out extremely for the last seventeen years.
Dee slightly knitted her eyebrows together. The man gave her a knowing smile "I knew you didn't call anybody to help you with your van, the nearest repair shop is more than a dozen miles away and the nearest phone is twenty-five. Luckily I have a brand new car battery in my truck".
Dee felt slightly guilty for lying to the man who was offering his help to them, so she gave him a shy smile "Thank you. It's just hard to trust somebody when your in a whole another state you've never been to" She said. The man shook his head understandingly "I totally get it, I guess me with a gun in my hand didn't seem very welcoming".
Both of them laughed lightly briefly before the man scanned his eyes around the group "How old are you kids? And what the hell are ya'll doing in Ohio out of all states?" He asked "We are on a long road trip to California. My aunt owns a beach house over there that we are going to be staying there for a little bit" Yoongi explained
