''I honestly wonder why the fuck i do things sometimes"i grumbled to myself.
As i walked around the crowded airport with my luggage in the the trolly. I continued to mumble curses to myself when i felt something bump into my leg.
As i looked down i saw the biggest, sea blue, doe eyes i have ever seen, looking up at me. I looked closer and noticed the fear and glossy, red tinge to her eyes.
'She could'nt be any older than 5' i thought to myself. I took a big wiff of her scent and realized she was a wolf pup. 'Are'nt those damn wolves really protective of their young' i thought sourly. Really i could'nt help but feel sorry for the little pup.
'Well this is really gonna bite me in the ass later' i thought as i knelt down to the size of the small pup. "Hey there sweetheart. Where is your pack?" I said. Softening my voice so that i did'nt scare her.
She looked at me for a few seconds, and then looked around her sniffeling. "I-i-i d-dont know" her tiny voice trembled. This fact alone seemed to bring her into more distress.
"Do you want help finding them? I could help you." I asked with the same gentle tone. She looked at me with those eyes that held suspicion and distrust. 'I guess they taught her not to talk to strangers' i smirked internally.
"Okay lets make a deal. Ill take you to the front desk and we'll ask them if they can find your family. Meanwhile we'll try to know eachother. Is that okay with you." I tried to negotiate with her. 'Wow thats the most i've said in a long long time.' I thought wryly.
I watched her think about my offer for a few seconds. She softly nodded her head, seemingly still a bit hesitant. As i looked closer i saw that she was holding a pink teddy bear. "Whats your teddy bears name." I asked her gently. She looked at me for a moment. Assessing me. "His name is Aries because he is my brave bear." As she told me more about Aries, she seemed to relax around me even more and started to tell me about her pack .
"Hello sweetheart. Whats your name ?" I asked her softly. She smiled up at me and that caught me off gaurd for a second. "Ok mister. My name is Lucy." I chuckled humourlessly at the irony of it all. "Really. My name is also Lucy. Ok Lucy hop on the trolley and we'll go to the front desk."
While we made our way to the front desk, i learnt that she was the youngest child to the alpha of the Silver Shadow pack. Her favourite colour was pink, she loved barbecued ribs and she was 4 turning 5 years old. Her full name was Lucinda Rosemary ShadowStone.
After i had given the necessary information, i waited patiantly chatting with Lucy. A loud voice spoke through the intercom,"May Lucinda Rosemary ShadowStone's guardians please come and collect her near terminal 1."
It was'nt long before i smelt the pungent stench of wolf dominance. 'Ugghhh dominant male wolves,' I thought grimly.
"LUCY!!!!" I heard multiple voices yell. The small wolf pup squealed and jumped up to meet the pack. I was already startimg to feel a headache creep in from all the wet dog.
I stood up ready to walk away, as i turned my back towards them. Before i could even take a step i heard a low growl. 'Oh shut the fuck up mutt' i thought to myself. I stopped slowly turning back to face the now angry wolves. "Bloody demons, monsterous bloodsuckers. Lowest scum on the earth. Fucking disgrace to all supernaturals around the world."
Said the wolf reaking of the most authority. So im guessing thats papa dearest aka the alpha.
From my peripheral vision i saw Lucy scramble out of her dad's arms. "Daddy no! He helped me. If he did'nt find me i would still be lost. Please don't say mean things to him. He is very nice. Daddy his name is also Lucy." She spoke with such sincerity it made me cringe.
When i looked at each of the wolves i could tell the differences of their positions. One of the wolves in the group were still glaring at me. 'Hmm. If only this stupid hood were'nt covering my eyes, i would give him a taste of his medicine.' I thought while grinning darkly. 'Wait those eyes look familiar. They look strangely similar to Lucy's. They're realated.' I finally concluded.
"Well i would love to stay and chat but sadly i have somewhere to be. So see you." I could feel the fear rolling off the anxious wolves as they heard my voice. I simply shook my head.
I knelt down so that i could say good bye to Lucy. She came barreling into my arms as she sniffeld slightly. I softly kissed her forehead and whispered a gentle goodbye. I unwrapped my arms from the small girl. "I'll see you soon alright Lulu."
I quickly rushed out of that situation with any of the wolves realizing how late it was. I took my phone out just as it started to ring. Looking at the caller i noticed that it was my brother. I texted him saying that i was on my way.
I quickened my pace walking over to my family. Just as i was about to reach them the ground started to shake and there was an engine like noise. I turned my body towards the sound and hoped it was'nt what i thought it was.
With a flash of light a group of men dressed in black were gathered around me. As i looked at the objects in their arms i quickly realised who they were. "Holy shit. Are you fucking kidding me. Who in the bloody hell sent you here? God damnit you can not be serious. I havent even see my family yet and i am being dragged away to who knows where." I yelled because i was frustrated.
"Good Morning sir. As you have noticed that your colleagues jave been taken too. We were sent to collect you 8 former students of Dark Knight Academy for Boys and Dark Knight Academy for Girls. You will be taken The Archs' Academy for the Gifted and study as students to control your Light magic.' One of the guards said.
"Fuck i knew they would want us someday but already." I said exasperated. I turned towards my family and walked closer to themand told them. "Hey guys. It seems like the team and i have been recruited to go to AAG." I heard grumbles and mumbles from all of them. At least i knew that they were upset about my departure.
I dug into my bag a brought out a small bag and handed it to papa. "I know how strict the rules about family visits are and i wanted to make sure we could always be in touch. These items of jewellery are like protectors, communicators and great looking accessories. If you ever need to chat just press onto the jewel and say a name and that is it.
I hugged each and everyone of my family members who were barely holding back tears. I looked at the guard and said ," lets go big guy. Its on. Also can you do me a favour and carry me because im tired. Please."
Third person:
As the part demon gained comfort by snuggling deeper into the guard forgeting his worries for a few moments.
The boy felt the tingling in his stomach and knew that him and his companions were going to have the adventure of a life time.
