You were sitting on the couch talking to David and Joyce to distract them from Chloe and Max trying to play detectives upstairs.
Joyce: how's the wound (Y/n)?
You: it's better, I don't really feel pain anymore
David: you're a real trooper, wish I had you in my squad during my service
Joyce: David, he's not a soldier
You: no, it's fine Joyce and thanks David.
Joyce: oh, alright (Y/n). Could you go get Max and Chloe for me?
You: yes ma'am
You head upstairs and walk in to see Max staring at the board they were using t hold up all the information they found while Chloe stared into her computer screen like a zombie.
You: yo
They look at you and wave.
Chloe: hey Phantom, what took you so long?
You: I was gonna ask you the same thing
Max: I'm having trouble figuring out where Nathan is getting his supply of drugs and who he's dealing them to.
You walk over to Max's side and look over the details.
You: I'm stumped, there's nothing that mentions Nathan's dealings on any of these. Did we ever figure out the password to his phone?
Max: no, I don't know it
Chloe: I have an Idea!
You both look at Chloe.
Chloe: My dealer might have the info we're looking for
Max: don't you owe him money?
Chloe: yea, $4,500
You sigh and think for a bit.
You: let's do it
Chloe: so are we teaming with The Phantom or (Y/N) today?
You: I'm gonna have to be The Phantom to help us get your dealer to speak
Chloe: sweet! it's a plan
You: but first, Joyce wants you two. I'll go change
They head downstairs while you change into "The Phantom" before going downstairs yourself. Max and Chloe were eating when David and Joyce notice you.
David: you planning to run into trouble son?
You: after what happened to me a few days ago, yes I am.
David: here, follow me
David leads you to his gun locker and opens it for you. You see 3 sidearms on racks above one another.
David: take your pick, I trust you to use it wisely.
You pick the Colt .45 and David gives you the holster for it. Once you had the gun holster on your belt you inserted there pistol itself. You felt a bit more weight on you but it shouldn't hinder your mobility too much.
David: I also want you to have this as back up
He passes you a switch blade with a black handle and a red dragon imprint in the sides of the blade. You pocket it and look to David.
You: thank you
David: I just don't want you getting hurt again so be careful out there.
You: will do
David leans in and whispers.
David: and don't let Joyce know or she'll skin me alive so if anybody asks, you stole the gun.
