The Woods

2 Years Later(Landon Sunstone)
I had been in the woods for 2 years training to use my powers. I had changed a lot since then. I was very muscular now, I had ran track and weight trained before. Now I looked like an olympic weightlifter. I was now twenty years old. I had definitely changed a lot during my time in the woods. I learned how to use my powers, survive, and take care of myself. The first month was really tough though. I had started a forest fire on my 3rd day, which I put out when I learned how to control my weather powers. On the second week I was almost eaten by earth devourers, which are a species of mammals that look like trees and eat people. Those I did set on fire and let them burn. My powers dramatically increase to. Terrance occasionally stopped by to say hello, but stopped when people became suspicious he was hiding something. I was oblivious to the outside world while I was in the woods. It was for my own good. I had lived in a little tent while I was in the woods, hunted for my own food, and became a good hunter. I also learned how to fight because I was frequentally attacked by local tribes who thought I was prey. My time in the woods had made me ready to even take on the darkness if it was unleashed.

After I finally left the woods I was ready for anything. What I did not expect is to see The Darkness Restoration Company in Control of  Virginia. They destroyed the highschool to take a piece of the Darkness Fragment. I never realized how important the fragment was, but apparently if all the pieces were collected it could destroy the Sun Orb. Afyer destroying the highschool the DRC decided to take control of Virginia, starting a huge war. There was a military draft in effect. The DRC had also found a Spectral to help find the pieces. I did not like it at all. It was a very agonizing and shocking sight to see. The once pretty state had turned into a kingdom ruled by the DRC. Anyone who did not listen would be tortured or killed. I teleported to where Heartshire Bar was, I was sad to see it had been destroyed and rebuilt into a DRC fortress.I needed to leave now because there was DRC agents everywhere. But it was too late they saw me and recognized me as the grand spectral. I snapped and they all exploded into fire. I needed to fight or change was never going to happen. I changed my once peaceful ways to those of violence for change. I flew up and then did a meteor strike completely destroying the fortress. I then made it rain to put out the fire. I flew away, I did not know how far I was going but I needed to find somewhere safe. I wondered if Quinn or Terrance was alive.I flew for hours to find a safe spot. The nearest place I found safe was Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Chapel Hill was a military town made by the resistance against the DRC. I safely landed on the ground. I figured I was in the right spot, since I wanted to join the fight against DRC. I wanted nothing more than to see that corrupt company fall. Especially after all they had done. They were only in power because everyone feared them. They were directly responsible for the destruction of California,The prevention of a good time in Virginia, murder, thievery, scandals, and much more I did not know about. I was outside of Chapel Hill, which was surrounded by metal fences. A soldier walked up to the fence gun drawn to see who was there. He took a huge step back and dropped his gun as soon as he seen my eyes.
"Uh..Please do not hurt me."begged the soldier
"Look I do not want to hurt you I want to be let in. If you are thinking I am with the DRC or evil I am not. I want to be here for safety and see if I can help."I said
"Okay, but please do not do anything stupid." asked the soldier
"I promise I won't, I was trying to find somewhere safe. I want to help"
"Good come on in, you have come to the right place" said the soldier opening the gate to the city.
"Have you came to fight in the war,come for safety, or protect the civillians in the city?"
"Fight in the war, the DRC made me like this and hurt everyone I loved" I said firmly
"Good our numbers are depleating ever since the DRC had the power of darkness on their side." said the soldier. The soldier showed me around the war torn town. I recognized some faces from Virginia. It was good because I knew that Quinn and Terrance might be alive. The town had almost everything. The town was pretty big. For once the only looks I recieved for being a spectral was admiration. I had come to terms with being spectral by now. He introduced me to some of the soldiers. The town protected survivors from the war. After the introduction of the town was over I went to town hall to enlist in the military. While there I seen a really familiar face, robot 089 my robo waiter from 2 years ago. I walked over to 089 and it immediately recognized me.
"Oh hello Mr.Landon how have you been during your time in the woods?" said 089
"Great, how have you been?"I asked
"This war is not easy, but at least we are all together." said 089
"Yeah about all together is Quinn here?" I asked curiously
"Yes he is, when the war started a lot of the Civillians had escaped Virginia and headed south until we arrived here. He is actually here right now. Better catch him now though because he is going to fight in the war."said 089
"Thank you so much, did I ever tell you that you were the best waiter I have ever had?"
"Oh thank you Mr.Landon, have a great day."said 089
"No thank you, have a great day as well 089."I explored around to find Quinn but instead I found something just as good my other bestfriend Terrance. Terrance seemed different though, I could barely tell it was him
"Oh my god, it is you. I can not believe you are here. I have so much to tell you." said Terrance
"Good, because I have so much to ask you. What is going on what happened?" I asked Terrance excidedly.
"Too much bad. After you 'died' the DRC became cocky and destroyed the highschool to get the dark fragment. If they collect all 5 they can destroy the sun cage and bring the darkness back into the world. It gets worse too, they have a spectral working with them. She killed so many people with the snap of her fingers. She can track those fragments too." said terrance
"Take a breath, who is she?" I asked fearfully
"She calls herself fate, she is the Celestial Spectral. She plans to empower herself with the darkness to rule the universe. She controls everyone at the conpany, I actualy feel bad for the employees for once. " said Terrance fearfully
"Are you okay, how did you get here?"I asked
"When she attacked most of us fled her grasp. She is pure evil man." said Terrance anxiously.
"Where are you going to go? Are you going to fight,Stay here, or protect the city?" I asked so relieved to see Terrance
"They automatically chose me to fight. I have to tell you something."Said Terrance
"What is it, and why did they automatically choose you." I asked hesitantly
"I have powers."said terrance looking more confident then ever.
"You have powers, HOW?" I questioned
"You know spectrals can imbune objects with their powers on death and then pass them on, well I accidentally found that object 4 years ago. It was a huge rock, after touching it I felt power flowing through me. The power of the storm spectral. That is why I wanted to hang out when we first met, because I was tired of being the only one with powers."said Terrance
"Wow, why did you not just tell me."I aksed caringly
"I did not want anyone to know because I was scared of being experimented on."said Terrance. I gave a fist bump.It was good to see him again. It was even cooler he had powers too, I was not an outsider.
"They found out I had powers when I summoned lightning to protect the town from the DRC." said terrance cooly.
"Awesome, I learned how to use my powers and fight. I also learned how to survive".I informed Terrance
"Awesome" said Terrance
"When are we being deployed?" I asked
"Me and the others tomorrow, you later since you just arrived." Terrance said sadly
"Oh god no way I am going tomorrow, NO WAY ARE THEY SEPERATING ME FROM THE OTHERS!!!"I screamed causing a fire to start beside me.
"Whoops." I said putting the fire out with my powers. Terrance laughed.

I planned on stealing a spaceship to leave with the others. I knew they needed me know. I did not need training, I had already trained enough. I ran into Quinn that night. When he recognized me he hugged me.
"You are okay!!!" He said happily as ever. He looked different, like he was sick but healthy at the same time.
"It is good to see you, but are you okay you seem different?"
"No, I have...I have a disease Landon. It is my own fault." Quinn said crying. We talked while outside at the nightly campfire. He told me that at college he studied infectious diseases and plagues, which included the bio plague released on earth 200 years ago. He told me he was assigned to study to find a cure for the plague, but contracted it instead. He told me he had invented a machine that could keep him from fully getting sick, but had to be attached to his spine surgically. It made me sad hearing his story. He told me it was not all bad because the disease increased his strength,speed, resistance, and even gave him radiation powers. He seemed happy but I knew it was fake happiness. I felt sorrow for him. I asked if he could help me steal a spaceship so I could leave with the rest of the fleet. He was hesitant at first but agreed. Before it was time to go to bed I turned to Quinn and touched his shoulder healing him. I left his powers but made his sickness disappear.
"What did you do" asked Quinn
"Oh nothing, good night." I said.
I turned invisible and went to where they held the ships. The door was locked so I walked through the wall. I hacked the ship with my powers. After that I went to bed ready to start the greatest yet scariest adventure of a lifetime tomorrow.
