The Grand Spectral

New Life (Kind Of)

Landon Sunstone
After leaving the bar I stopped dead in my tracks. I had not the slighest clue of what I was doing. I had no home,no where to go, and no money. I still wanted a simple life which included finishing school, dating, etc. I set down on the concrete to think it through a some what normal life or a revenge filled one. I wanted a regular life, more than anything.

2 Days Later
I had been wondering hopelessly around Virginia for 2 days to give it some thought. I was 17 and was young and stupid. I honestly thought a normal life wad an option. I enrolled at a new school in Virginia. I had dreams, I wanted to fix the world through peace and technology not fighting.

New School
I had been staying at the bar until school started. Quinn and I had become really good friends by then. He thought I was crazy though for trying to stick around knowing I was a Spectral. He was 3 years older than me and went to a local college while working at the bar. We actually got to talk a lot during our time at the bar. I had even become good friends with some of the locals and eased their fears about Spectrals. I also practiced using my powers, especially flying, teleportation, and pyrokenisis.

When the first day of school came around I was about to throw up due to anxiety. I woke up and dressed myself up. My powers made my skin completely clear. My new highschool had been rebuilt after the attacks of the darkness and was one of the most prestiged schools in all of the universe. I know the only real reason the school took me in is because they needed me from protection against coorperations like DRC because they had dark fragments that could be useful to them. I walked in and recieved looks of admiration and pure horror. I went to my locker and opened it. Even though I told it like it was I did not want to speak of the events of the past couple of days.

While I was at my locker another boy greeted me. I was looking at my glowing eyes and veins.
"Can I help you?"
"I have always wanted to see a real life spectral I think you are...interesting" he said
"Thanks I guess" I said
"I am terrance, I am really interested in spectrals if you could not tell." said Terrance
"Nice to meet you Terrance I am Landon, can you show me my next class please?" I asked nervously.
"Sure, right this way." said Terrance Once in class my teacher looked at me and almost passed out. I was not surprised.
"Uh just sit wherever you want please?" she said holding back tears. The room was uncomfortably quiet. I was doing my work like they were not there.
After class Terrance greeted me in the courtyard.
"Hey again, you obsessed with me." I said jokingly.
"Just a little" he said jokingly "But what I really wanted to ask was if you would like me to show you around the school?"
"Sure...."I was cut off by the sounds of gunfire. I looked up to see military planes from the DRC up ahead. They were firing down at the courtyard. It was obvious they were there for me.
"Not this time." I yelled at them. Troops with rockets surrounded the school. I would not let this happen. I let my wings come out and flew up right into the helicopter. It was now falling to the ground. I teleported back down to the ground and held it up off the ground with telekenisis.
I also held back bullets from the ground troops. I summoned lightning from the sky to strike down the ground troops. I then made the plane disappear into another place. My powers grew each time I used them. I found new powers each time as well.
I then teleported back to the courtyard. There was screaming, yelling,protests,and stares all directed towards me or about me. A few students were wounded from bullets. I walked over to them and placed my hands on their wounds. They were healed and their body now had energy flowing through it.
"Damn it, I told you that the demon boy should have never came here." said my teacher. Students were panicked and crying. Students were mad at me calling me names.
"This would never have happened if you would have declined his request to attend here" said my teacher.
I just cried.
"Oh shut up, Mrs. Chesire that boy deserves a future just like everyone else. It is not his fault he has a target on his back, get over yourself." said my principal.
"That was so freaking awesome, screw these people. You be you Landon." said Terrance inspiringly.
"It is his fault he was born, thats why I told the DRC where he was." said Mrs. Chesire. screaming out loud like she was mad.
"You did what?" asked the pricipal
"You heard me, Spectrals are a curse to this universe.You seen his power he does not belong here." Said Mrs.Chesire now yelling like crazy.
"I will go, if it makes things go back to normal."
I then turned to Terrance and secretly said "Terrance meet me at Heartshire Bar in 30 minutes". I then leaped into the air and flew away.

Terrance Silvertear
After watching him fly away, things got even crazier. Mrs.Chesire was drug away by the principal. School was closed early and we were all sent home immediately. It was no secret Landon was a spectral you could feel the power coming off of him. But I had a secret to. I was the only other one at my school with powers. I had found a stone imbuned with powers of the Storm Spectral. It had given ne some powers of that spectral not making me a spectral. I could summon lightning, fly, teleports,etc. That is why I needed to talk to him so much. He was the only other person with powers. I could never use mine on account of being listed as a freak and sent to a facility where they would experiment on me. I flew over to the Heartshire Bar after school was closed. I could see Landon on the sidewalk so I landed a few blocks away.
"Whats up?" I asked when I seen Landon
"I just do not think I can do this anymore. I need your help, I need you to help me find somewhere secret to lear how to use my powers. I also need your help to help me fake my death, so I can help get the DRC off my back."
"This is insane, you still have a shot at a normal life. You don't have to do this."I said trying to ease the situation
"Yes you do, I am a danger to those around me until I can get control pf my powers." Landon said sadly.

1 Day Later
Me and landon had found a secret place deep in the woods of Virginia where he could train his powers. I was still not set on the plan, but what could I do. We planned to cause a safe explosion that would "kill" Landon so the DRC would be off of his back. I had called the DRC to tell them of the location of the Grand spectral. Once they arrived at the abandoned building Landon would blow it up to fake his death. He wanted the DRC there so they think he would be dead.

After escaping the explosion zone, I helped Landon escape to the woods.

"So this means gooodbye" I said jokingly
"I suppose so. After I learn to use my powers maybe I can try a normal life again." said Landon sorrowfully.
"Well I suppose I should be going, thank you so much for helping me. I owe you a favor in the future."
I awkerdally gave Landon a hug. He was the first person in a long time that I considered a friend. Even though we had not known each other long, we had become great friends. I said one last goodbye and we went seperate ways. Tomorrow at would return to school and try and be normal again. I never told anyone I had powers. I appeared I never would either.

I hated that I had to leave but it was for the best. I had thanked Quinn before leaving for letting me stay at the bar. I was always somewhat of an outsider, but here I had made real friends. It was weird because I had been here for a short amount of time and felt like home, opposed to california where I was just another person to pick on. I had really appreciated Terrance and Quinn. I wish I would have friends while in the woods but in needed to be alone. In the woods, I became a master of many things. But that is a story for another time.
