He sat at the bar that rainy night,
His thoughts lost in the abyss of emptiness inside.
Shots were laid out infront of him, skin drenched in the stench of smoke.

He'd tilt his cup, staring at the liquid inside.
He'd search for a soul long gone.
His breath was slow and his heart of ice.
He had already died.

His entire life he walked alone
He became lost and went down the wrong road
When he tried to turn around,
He was no where to be found.

In the darkness did he grow
Oblivious to the dangers in his show
He would cry out, never to be heard
Oh how much he hurt.

So there he was, he sat alone
Pondering how he'd be able to make it on his own.
But that's when it happened, he felt a chill down his spine.
When he turned, he saw a light so divine.

She moved at a slow pace as she entered the room,
Time seemed to pause.
Her hips swayed to the left, and then to the right.
He was choked, as if in his own tomb.
She made his heart speed, it could take flight.

She saw him staring, a smile on her ruby lips.
His cheeks became the same color as he looked back down at his drink.
But it wasn't over,
For next to him she took a seat.

"Hello." She said.
It felt as if he would lose his head.
But he couldn't look up, he lacked the courage.
He was frozen in the moment.

She placed her gentle hand over his,
Bringing him back from his thoughts.
His head shot up and looked her in the eyes,
He was caught in her trance.

Her blue eyes were clear, to him they were like a mirror.
He could finally see, but could it be real?
Her aroma was mesmerizing, he could finally breath.
Could she possibly be what he needs?

Next he studied her long wavy hair
It was a golden color with a beautiful flare.
Like a crown befitting of a true queen.
Her beauty pleases him, she could surely see.

Again she spoke "Hey, are you okay?"
Her voice was that of an angel to him.
Sweet and kind, soft and warm.
Silky and tender as if she were singing a lullaby.

He took the hand that lay on top of his,
Slowly he brought it to his lips,
He held it as if he were afraid
But he kissed it as if he weren't astray.

"Do me a favor." He finally said
His honey daggers aligning with hers.
She listened intensely for she wasnt afraid.
"From this devil, hurry and turn yourself away."
