“You would be wise to heed our commands,” one of the Gods speak snidely. “We tried to give you a painless passing. Must you insist upon being stubborn?”
Before Brianna sits the Gods once more.
Upon opening her eyes, she’d been met with the sight of the lot of them gathered around. It was they who tried to erase her memories, they who brought her here to this place. Why? Because of love? What is so wrong about her love for Yoongi, and his love for her? Doesn’t everyone deserve love?
“I will not bend,” Brianna finally speaks. “I will not submit.”
“Neither can you escape,” snorts another God. “Your resistance is futile.”
“Well then, it seems we are at an impasse. Clearly you aren’t capable of taking my soul by force, or you would have done so already.” Brianna retorts confidently.
This whole situation has filled her with a renewed spirit of rebellion, and rage courses through her veins as she stares defiantly at the wicked creatures before her. Filled with a hopeless sort of longing, Brianna begins to struggle in earnest against the confines of 'fate'. She thinks back to every time she'd ever lamented just how cruel fate was, never even realizing that it was the Gods themselves that were cruel and hateful. How naive.
"I want to see Yoongi!" She cries out. "So let me go!"
After all, Yoongi is waiting for her.
A brilliant glow begins to emanate from Brianna's chest; it's pale and ethereal light all but drowning out the very Gods themselves.
"Stop that!" One of them snarls. "Stop that at once!"
"I'm coming Yoongi, " Brianna vows silently, "Just hang in there."
"Don't let her escape or I'll-"
The voice is interrupted by the sudden implosion of the very void itself. Sound curls in on itself, and for a moment, everything is eerily silent. But then, an explosion of sound overwhelms Brianna. She writhes beneath the splitting pain in her head, even as the light haloing her form devours every inch of darkness about her.
Brianna feels as if she is falling through a tunnel, endlessly and helplessly, heart hammering in her chest as she awaits the inevitable crash and burn.
"This is bad, " Hoseok murmurs to Freya, tucking kisses away into the crook of her neck.
Honestly, he's been a wreck. He's been emotionally dead, and doing everything in his power to distract himself. But there are things that he knows. Things that nobody else does. And some of it is so very terrible that he isn't sure what to feel anymore.
But Freya?
Freya's been a saint. Or a demon. It really depends on frame of mind, Hoseok supposes. Right now, as she presses her naked chest against his sweat-soaked back, he would very much have to go with demon. But as much as he'd love to go for round three, the things slinking around in his brain just won't leave him be.
