"You do understand, that if I talk, they'll kill me." The redhead pleaded, standing in front of the Jedi Council. A few of them looked around, and Trip looked behind her at Quin and Sokka. Quin met her gaze, but looked down quickly.

"We need to know what you know, Trip. If you tell us, we'll grant you your freedom if you were set up." Mace Windu spoke, looking at the girl. "I was." "By who?" Trip just sighed, fidgeting with her hands. "Fine. I want my freedom, and a way back to Tatooine."

Mace nodded slowly, and looked at Quin and Sokka. "They can take you back after." She nodded, taking a deep breath.

"Fine. It started a few months ago. I was desperate for credits, and some guys told me to meet with this contact. I asked around, and a lot of people said it wasn't worth it but I did it, against my better judgement. He gave me two hundred and fifty credits for each job. The only rule was that I could never speak of it or him, or ask any questions. He told me, and this group of kids I take care of to just call him Darth Tyranus." Trip stopped, taking a breath. "Can I sit?" She said quietly, and they nodded. She sat cross legged on the floor before continuing.

"The jobs started out small, delivering weapons and just being like a bodyguard for some hunters. After a while, he gave us some guns and gave me real jobs. After raising the price to fifty thousand, he told me to kill that asshole-" She pointed back at Sokka, and Quin bit his lip to not laugh.

"And the one that sent me the blaster that had a tracker on it. He set me up, I don't know why. People had warned me he liked to tie up loose ends, so that's probably what this was. That's all I know."

The Jedi just looked at eachother, some mumbling quietly. Trip looked back at Quin again, then to Sokka before back at Mace Windu. "So? Can I go?'

"If he set you up, you should stay here for a few days, just to make sure he's not still trying to kill you." He started, and she quickly stood up.

"No, I have to get back-" "Two days. Ava, take her to an empty room, make sure she has clothes." A younger girl stood up, smiling kindly at Trip. She walked to the door as Trip just followed.

After going down an elevator and some halls, they entered a small room, and Ava went to the closet. Trip looked around, walking to the bed. She ran her hand over the blanket, gasping softly. "It's... cool, and soft. I've never felt something like this before." Ava walked out of the closet, laying some dark grey clothes out.

"These rooms are normally used by Senators when they need a place to stay, so it's top of the line bedding. Same with the clothes. There's a bath on the other side of that half wall, water already drawn. There's buttons on the side to control the temperature." She explained, sitting on the bed. "Go clean yourself, I'll wait here with your clothes." Trip nodded, taking off her jacket and boots, sand falling out.

"Thanks.. I'll just be a minute." She mumbled, walking behind the wall. She stuck her hand in the water, using her free one to cool it down to a not so hot temperature. She wiped her hand on her pants, going over to a mirror and pulling her hair out of the braid. She got into the bath after that, using almost every scrub and cleanser they had given her.

"Uh, can you bring the clothes over here?" Trip called out, and Ava picked them up, setting them on the half wall. "Sure. I'll be outside when you're done."

Trip waited until the door closed to get out, using a towel to dry herself and her hair. She pulled on the clothes, a long dark gray shirt just a little fitted, and a darker pair of leggings. She noticed that some slip on shoes had been left beside the bed, and put them on quickly. She took some time to actually brush out her hair, letting it lay flat.

Ava entered the room after a few minutes, worried since she hadn't come out. "Trip? Are you okay?" She asked, walking over to the mirror. "Um, yeah, just realizing how you guys have this, while the Outer rim is hell. It makes no sense."

"Well, most of the Outer rim is Hutt controlled. The Republic doesn't mess with him." "Why not?" "I don't know, it's politics." Was all Ava said, and Trip just walked over to the bed, very cautiously sitting on it.

Someone knocked on the door, and Ava quickly answered it. Quin stood in the doorway, dressed in his deep blue robes. "Master Windu asked Sokka and I to stay with her, and said you needed to go back to training." He began, looking over Ava's shoulder at Trip and froze for a second, seeming to lose focus as Ava spoke.

"Alright. She's not what they think she is, so keep her alive Quin." Hearing his name brought him back to focus and he just nodded. "Yeah, we will."

The brunette just rolled her eyes before walking away, looking back as Quin entered her room and the door closed.
