Day 5: It Should Have Been Us

It was dawn when I woke up. Jennie and I rush to our respective rooms as I hope that Chaeyoung is still asleep. I'm glad that she was fast asleep after our early dinner, so I went out to see Jennie.

When I arrive at my room, I slowly open the door when I feel eyes piercing right behind me. Sweating, I turn around and see Chaeyoung with her squinting eyes.

I smile softly at her. "Hey, Chaeyoung. Did I wake you up?"

"Where were you?" she asks with her crossed arms. I only shrug and wear my indoor flip-flops.

"Tryna get some fresh air," I retort, and she seems to buy it. She then pouts while rubbing her sleepy eyes.

"You could've woken me up so I can accompany you." I smile and shake my head. I saunter towards her and sit beside her.

"No need. I was trying to watch the sunrise, but I was sleepy again so I came back," I lie. She only hugs me and makes my chest her pillow. Her index finger is caressing circles on my chest down to my abdomen, seducing me with her lustful eyes.

She smirks and brings her mouth to my ear. "Why don't we have a sexy time before we sleep again?"

With a strained smile, I gently push her away.

"Chaeyoung I'm sleepy. Let's just do this next time, okay?" I say and don't wait for her to answer as I drift to sleep. I hate to say this, but I don't feel any remorse about turning her down.

Jennie had and has always been on my mind and in my heart. Now that I'm this close to Jennie, my heart breaks to reminisce about what happened before. My rage for Chaeyoung came back.

If only I didn't do that back then, maybe I'm already...

I open my eyes, dreaming of what should happen instead of that chaos back on Chaeyoung's birthday. I sigh and just take a shower.

I don't know what to do with Chaeyoung anymore. I've been a slave to her, and I want to stop now and get back to Jennie.

When I wake up, I prepare to have a tour with my friends. As always, Chaeyoung always waits for me to finish in the bathroom until I'm done. We then meet our friends in the resort's lobby and meet Jennie's glance.

I smile, thinking that maybe she's checking on my unbuttoned black polo with a white tank top underneath. I paired them with my denim shorts and a chest bag. I could feel every woman's gapes on me, but Jennie's gazes matter more to me.

Meeting her gaze once again, I smile discreetly at her. But to my disappointment, she looks away and clings to Yeri.

Is something the matter?

"Let's go, babe?" Chaeyoung asks and I only nod and let her drag me.

When we enter Seulgi's van, I notice Jennie in front of me and I can smell her favorite shampoo. How I love to sit next to her but sadly, I'm sitting beside Chaeyoung as I should. I only watch Jennie leaning on Yeri's shoulder as Seulgi's driver drives us to Jeju Island's tourist spots.

We all have a lot of fun as the attraction spots are so relaxing and have the fresh air that we longed for. But after a few hours of traveling from one tourist spot to another, we're finally in the Manjanggul Cave which is our last place to visit.

I then helped the girls exit from the van. But it's just my way to get Jennie's attention because I feel like she's avoiding me when we were okay yesterday. She's been avoiding me all day long again and I'm dying to know what's going on between us.
