Maxerica - My Happily Ever After

Chapter One

Hey, this is my very first fanfiction and I want to warn you because English is not my native language so I apologize for all grammar mistakes but I read the selection books in English and in German and I liked them better in English. I also read a lot of fanfics and there were always a lot of things I didn't like so I decided to write my own one. Please read this fanfic only if you read the Selection series before. All rights belong to Kiera Cass. I don't know whether I can update regular but please enjoy this story and don't judge it by the first chapter.

So this is right after America said "yes"

America's POV (Point of view)

"Yes"

I leaned in for another kiss and Maxon kissed me back. I pulled away and looked in this eyes. They were full of love. He took the ring out of the box and slid it on my finger.

"Does it fit?", he asked.

"It's perfect!", I said and he kissed my finger with the ring.

"Would you do me another favour?"

"What?"

"Please don't tell anyone about our engagement. If you tell your maids, the whole palace would know in 30 minutes and if you tell your mom, the whole country would know in 30 minutes"

I laughed:"So true!"

Maxon continued:"I just would tell Kriss about my decision. Otherwise it wouldn't be fair. And please put the ring back into the box that no one can see it. You can take the box with you. I'm sure your maids have a small pocket for you to have it with you all your way. Just give it to me tomorrow before the Report that I can give it to you than."

"You planned really well", I replied.

"Now go to your room. I'm sure your maids are missing you. And by the way, if you have time, you should have a look at the princess' suite."

"Okay, would you than come with me or do you have to do too much?"

"We will see than. I also have to talk to you about Aspen. We have to get rid of this topic now."

Let me explain it:"Before the Selection started, we were a couple and he was the one who told me to sign up for it but before I came to the palace we broke up. Then he came here too and we met sometimes, probably three or four times but I always tried to say that I didn't love him anymore. And that's true. I love you and only you. And I saw him together with Lucy in the hospital wing before I came up here. I think they are a couple now and I wouldn't be surprised if there are two weddings in the next few months."

I kissed him one last time:"I love you so much!"

"I love you too, darling", he said. I smiled:"I think I can get used to that if you never call anyone else like that." I stood up from his bed and went to the door. "See you at dinner, my fiancée", he waved to me. My heart melted at this words but I knew I would love it even more, when he calls me his wife. I waved back and exited his room.
