~Six~

Morning came, and I was more desperate for help than ever. Diego said he had a map in the treehouse but then I looked in Tico's vest and saw my good friend Map. I was very happy and when I saw him I asked for directions for how to get out of the forest. He said we needed to travel on the river in order to get back into the city. We built a small raft for the each of us. One for Tico, one for Diego and Benny, one for me, Backpack and Map. We each pushed them into the river, and got on. The river water moved calmly as we rode on our rafts. It was humid. I had no idea where I was going. Map said to follow the river. I called a Benny and asked how he was. He said that the big branch he had been using for his leg helped a lot. I was glad everyone was okay by this point, at least the people I was with. Then I looked around at the beautiful trees and plants around us. Then I saw a pair of eyes took out my telescope and in a split-second found out it was a soldier. He lifted his camouflage gun, aimed, and shot at my raft. I had tied it with vines as ropes and he loosened it when he shot at it. I pulled out my pistol aimed and shot him right in his head. He fell back and then multiple guns fired at us. I ducked down and pulled out my machine gun and shot at the men in the jungle. One by one they fell to the ground, out of trees, or into the river. Then one of them came with a grenade and tied it to a piece of wood so it would float and blew up in the water when they threw it. I passed guns to Tico, Diego, and Benny. We all shot at the soldiers. there were more behind us though with a boat. I tried to keep calm but they had a huge gun on it ready to shoot at us. We all jumped off into the water and our rafts were gone. Many bullets shot into the water and we clung onto the rope dangling from one side of the boat jumped onto the ladder and pulled out some knives, guns, and branches. We were being attacked on the boat but we luckily encountered small numbers. Then the jungle troops swung onto the boat and we struggled to fight. Benny was being thrown against the wall multiple times, I picked up a machine gun on there boat and shot at all of them. I thought to myself for a moment, would if we could take over the boat and use the supplies we had on there to survive these next few days. Then we threw grenades into the trees were soldiers were, and killed almost all of the troops we encountered. After about an hour of fighting we finally took over the boat. We had food and water for the next few days and we won this small battle. Benny had a black eye cuts and his gun shot had been bleeding again I sent Tico to look for more supplies and Diego kept watch for soldiers. When Tico came back he said there was a whole room filled with supplies. Night took over the skies and we all finally found lights and made a fire to keep warm. After about an hour I checked my watch and it was 9:47 pm. I told the boys to get sleep and that I would soon fall asleep too.
