I woke up to the sound of Diego's voice. He told me that Tico and Benny went to find any supplies that were not gone. "How long was I asleep?" I said, "A day and a half." He responded. I tried to get up but felt a firing pain in my right leg, I looked over and it was covered with white bandage and true red colored liquid bled through. Diego told me that I had a shard of metal stuck in my leg and when they took it out, I bled a lot which probably caused me to be asleep longer. The two boys came back with my gun and a couple of first aid kits. I looked over at the wreckage of the boat and saw lots of blood snaking its way through the river, turning the sky blue color darker each second. I wanted to walk around and help them look for more supplies, but because of my leg I needed to stay seated and rest for a while. I kept an eye on my injury. I don't know why but the thought that I might not be able to move for at least a few days or so. I wanted to leave but the more I moved the more pain I had in my leg. The soldiers were dead and it was extremely quiet and serene where I was at. I could hear the water rub up against the sand and dirt where I was at. After a few minutes of looking up at the clouds Diego called me and said that they found some more weapons an ammo. I was tempted to run up to him and ask what they had found but my leg's sharp pain held me back. He brought me back some crutches so I could at least move around a little bit. He gave them to me and got me on my feet and I then was able to move around and little more. He gave me more bullets for my pistol and a combat knife. I put them both on my sides and soon after I had all my stuff I told backpack to hold anything else that would be helpful. We decided we would leave at dawn, so we packed all of our things and slept that night. I surprisingly slept "okay" that night. I did wake up to a bird singing to the trees. Then as the sun rose from it's hiding, I woke Benny and Tico up and we left our campsite. Diego was already awake and had packed food and water from the boat wreckage and river. Tico held our bags and blankets. Benny carried the most weapons out of all of us. We traveled at least a mile without any soldiers showing up. Then we decided to rest for a while Tico and Benny went to find nearby fruit while Diego and I stayed behind. "I know we can get him back." Diego said. "Boots, grandma, Elisia, and Issa... they're all gone." I responded. "We don't know that Dora, you've got to think positive." He said in a strict tone. "How can I when more than half of our group is missing." I said with an angry voice. "Dora you have too-" I cut him off. "Open your eyes Diego! We've lost so many people you're never going to see Elisia ever again! I'm not putting up with your crap anymore! I'm growing up, I'm not going to be your 'baby' cousin forever! Shut up and let me be an adult for once!" He was quiet for a moment. "You know what Dora. You do need to grow up. So I'll let you..." I was confused for a minute but then he pulled out his gun and said that he was going to leave me and let me find Boots on my own. He walked away without looking back at me... he didn't even turn his head to side to say any last words.
