Tears ran down my face as Elizabeth stood up in front of all those people talking about Brandy. She could barely hold back the sobs but Bailey and Chase stood by her side, holding her hands and smiling. She would look down at them, smile, and keep going. Her stories were touching and beautiful. She told of the good and the bad, the happy and the sad. When she was done I rose from my seat and headed toward the front of the room.

I took a deep breath and started talking, "Hello, if you don't know me, I'm Demi Lovato and Brandy was a huge fan of me. And now I am a huge fan of her. Although I didn't personally know Brandy and I had never met her, I feel like I met her through her grandmother and Brandy's letters. If you didn't know, Brandy would write me these letters but never sent them. When she passed, her grandmother found them and sent them to me. When I read them, my heart went out to her and her family. Hers is such a touching story. I know it has never been easy for you Elizabeth, so I would therefore like to give you $100,000 to help you with whatever you need. It is my pleasure to be here. And I'm so glad you sent those letters to me. Thank you for everything."

I looked at Elizabeth and saw her sobbing. I walked over to her and gave her a big bear hug.

"You don't need to do this," she whispered.

"I know, but I want to," I said, tears beginning to run down my face.

I walked back up to the front of the room where I performed Brandy's favorite song of mine, Warrior. I also sang the other songs. When the funeral was over I handed Elizabeth the check. I sadly had to leave that day to get back to my tour but I truly wanted to stay a little longer. I said my goodbyes to the twins and Elizabeth. As I was walking out the door, Elizabeth ran up to me.

"Thank you. You are a truly amazing person," she said, hugging me.

"No, thank YOU," I said as I walked out the door, tears rushing down my face.

I looked back behind me as I walked out and for a minute I saw Brandy standing there smiling big as ever and waving. I shook my head and she was gone.

"Goodbye, Brandy. You will be missed," I whispered to myself.
