" I-I don't think I can do this, Michael," Jeremy said with a sigh.
Michael placed his hand firmly on Jeremy's shoulder.

" Jeremiah Heere, it's just a girl."

" A girl I like! Micha, she probably didn't even know I existed 'till today! God, I came off as a loser too..."

The smaller one wrapped his arms around the other one's waist, squeezing as hard as he could.
" Jeremy, I will not allow this kind of talk from you! You are amazing!"

Jeremy struggled to get out of his friend's grip, gasping.
" Okay, okay, fine! J-just let me go!"
Michael released him, smirking. " Ha. I win."

His friend rolled his eyes, looking back at the lone girl in the auditorium.
" I guess evolutions not for everyone..." he mumbled.

" Jeremy..." Michael sighed, looking at his friends lovestruck expression, " you don't have to do this..."

The taller boy tilted his head, biting his lip.
" Buuuuut, I'll mock you forever if you don't!"

And with that, Michael shoved Jeremy into the room.

He froze, heart pounding, face flushing, body sweating. He slowly walked, or stumbled, over to the empty seat by Christine.
" Yooooo," he waved.

She glanced up at him, giving him a half smile, " yoooo."

" Is this where we m-meet for the play? I'm Jeremy, by the way."

Christine looked up at him, dumbstruck, before giggling. " No silly, this is where you meet for the swim team."
Face growing redder at his mistake, Jeremy turned to reread the sign at the door, panicking.

" Nonono, I was just kidding!"
The boy let out an awkward laugh, sitting down in the chair.
" I-I'm Jeremy!"

Christine raised her eyebrows, confused.
" I know, you just told me that."
Shit, she probably hates me now, God, why do I have to be such a loser-

" I'm Christine."
Jeremy nervously smiled at her, letting out a weird noise.
Christine leaned closer to him, staring at his figure. " Are you alright? You look really nervous."

" N-nervous? No! I always... sweat... this much..."
And this is why we stick to video games, Jeremy thought.

" Oh, I get it... you're a virgin!"
Jeremy's mouth gaped open, not expecting that.

I-I thought she was innocent!

" First play rehearsal!" Christine excitedly exclaimed.

Jeremy let out a breath he did not know he was holding, awkwardly laughing again.
" Oh you think- you think I'm nervous about pl-play rehearsal!"

Christine giggled, " why else would you be shaking," she scanned his body, looking more concerned, " a lot?"

" I, uhm, I-I'm just totally freaked."
A wave of realization hit the older girl. " I get it, it's your first."

Jeremy jumped, looking at the ground in embarrassment.

" Play rehearsal," she said in a sly voice, having an all-knowing look.
Y-yeah...
The girl slumped in her seat, dreamily sighing.
" Coming here is the highlight of-"

" Your day?" Jeremy interrupted.

Christine turned her head to him, deadpanned. " Of my life."

She suddenly stood up.

" I love play rehearsal, because it's the BEST!" She glanced at Jeremy, then looked away, muttering, " because it is fun.
" I love play rehearsal, and I get depressed, as soon as it's done..."
