Jeremy Heere's life recently took an unexpected turn. All due to a magical pill called a Squip. This Squip took the form of Keanu Reeves; its purpose to help its host be more chill. Jeremy would say it was helping him 'be more cool' but that was completely incorrect. He was becoming a person whom everyone liked and found comfort with, mainly. Not someone who participated in trends.
The Squip had helped its host so much that Jeremy could barely even remember what his life was like before Squip. So far, Jeremy had abs, acne almost gone, popular friends, new wardrobe, and his crush. His crush, whom was his soulmate. His life had taken the best turn it could have.
Never mind that there was now a weird blurry spot in a few of his classes in a seat that no one sat in. He thought about getting glasses, but the Squip quickly shot that down. People with glasses are not chill. Glasses do not make you popular. So he continued to ignore this weird blurry spot. Even if he felt that blurry spot stare at him. That was totally normal. Everyone had feelings that they were being watched.
He also thought it odd that a girl named Brooke talked to it and no one said anything. But if no one said anything, he did not either. She could have some problems, who was he to judge? He took a magical pill that formed into anything you wanted to help you turn your life around. He could not judge.
No matter that weird things happened. It was probably a side effect of the pill. Every medicine had some sort of crazy side effect. And he did get the pill from a shady drug dealer who got it from Japan. He would see a red PT Cruiser drive without anyone in the drivers seat after school anyway. Coincidentally, the Brooke person was the passenger in the car sometimes. She probably had someone short drive her. Was that even legal? Either way he tried to ignore it.
Jeremy was not smart enough, however, to connect these two events. Or, he was smart enough, a pill just found it absolutely necessary he did not pay attention to the blurry spot. It was imperative that the host did not find out the true identity of blurry spot. Blurry spot must stay blurry spot and not that person who was barely in Jeremy's memories. That person was fake. Not blurry spot. Blurry spot was its own thing.
With gel in his hair and an awkward smirk on his face, Jeremy took his lunch tray outside and to his new group of friends. He sat down by his new girlfriend, Christine. While she was eating a sandwich Jeremy had chips, an apple, and a soda. The school lunch was... not that good. But he needed food to more than survive, so he had to eat it.
Well, that is what his Squip told him, anyway.
Jeremy wrapped an arm around his girlfriend and she smiled at him. Her sweet smile that could melt a whole room. Somehow, even though Jeremy processed and acknowledged Christine's smile was adorable, he did not completely agree. That was weird. He shook the thought off. Maybe he was sick. Not feeling well. The Squip would fix that. Soon Jeremy would go back to thinking about how Christine's eyes were sparkly, her lips looked soft, her voice aroused him. Anytime now. Like, right now. Right. Now. Now.
Why the hell was he thinking about dark skin with black hair and glasses? That wore red as well? Christine did not look like that. But this thing was making him feel weird. Not the feeling Christine gave him. This was stronger. And oddly grew more as he glanced toward blurry spot by Brooke. Why did Brooke just glare at him? Did the blurry spot have a name? It should have a name. The name Mich-
A small shock traveled through Jeremy's body that made him focus on his new friends and girlfriend. Right. He could not go deep into his thoughts. The Squip said that was dangerous. Which meant blurry spot was most likely dangerous. Jeremy wondered why.
That earned him another shock.
He straightened up and hurried to finish his lunch. Fighting the urge to puke from the food. It was fine. Everything was fine.
