Do you recall
That day in the sun?
The warm summer wind-
How the waves lapped at our feet,
And our toes were buried
In the sand.
The sun was like our spotlight,
As we trotted through the waves,
And ran across the beach,
Sand flying out
Behind us.
Do you recall that day,
When we laughed 'till darkness
Enveloped the sky,
And danced like there was no tomorrow.
We stayed there, two friends,
'Till the fire burned down to embers,
And our time together came to an end.
