Book 2, chapter 3

Y/N: i don't know if this is safe to eat.,

You picked up the cupcake and set it on the kitchen counter.

Y/N: i'll see about it later.. first comes sleep.

You cleaned the cup you had given to the stranger and after that went to your room.

You looked over at where Yuki's sleep place was.

Empty..

Y/N: yuki?

You looked around the room and checked in the closets.

Still not a sign of Yuki.

You let yourself fall backwards on your bed.

Y/N: gosh.. i just wanna sleep.. well Yuki knows how to care for itself.. so that won't be.. a problemmm

While talking to yourself you slowly fell asleep.

The calming void of sleep surrounded you. But there was a weird vibe.. almost frightening but the reason.. you didn't know.

All of a sudden you felt something on your face.

You quickly opened your eyes and were met with Yuki licking your face.

Y/N: gosh yuki..

You pushed their head away and sat up.

The sunlight lit the room up in a perfect morning tone.

You yawned and stretched your arms out.

Y/N: where were you yesterday? I was worried.

Yuki didn't speak and just walked out of your bedroom.

Y/N: oh being secretive now are we?

You got up and you noticed you were still wearing the same clothes you fell asleep in.

You quickly changed into different clothes and walked to the kitchen to make some breakfast.

Yuki was just laying on the couch, acting very different than usual..

You just ignored the weird behavior and made morning eggs for yourself and made crispy bacon for Yuki.

You noticed Yuki had made their way to the kitchen probably from the smell of bacon.

Y/N: oh now you do want attention?~

You lifted up Yuki's plate with the bacon and put it down on the ground.

Yuki immediately started to eat and you took your own plate and sat down at the table.

You grabbed your phone and put some music on to set a good morning tone.

Y/N: its a nice day today.. what shall we do yuki?

Yuki ignored you and kept eating.

Y/N: hmm.. i already went shopping yesterday.. maybe we can go to the park? You haven't been out since yesterday.

You looked at yuki.

Y/N: unless you sneaked out~ nah im just kidding.

You finished your breakfast and cleaned your plate.

Yuki also had finished and you also cleaned their plate.

Y/N: well to the park we go.

You grabbed your coat and opened the door.

You took a leash for Yuki for just safety and you both walked out of the apartment.

You were still a little sleepy so you decided to take the stairs to wake yourself a bit up.

It was a long way down but at least you were more awake now.

Yuki just followed quietly and not so excited as normal.. maybe they are mad that i left them alone yesterday.

When opening the main door of the building you were met with a warm breeze.

Y/N: mm yes perfect weather for a walk.

You were happy with the sunny weather.

Yuki on the other hand didn't look so excited about the good weather.

Y/N: ow come on i know you are grumpy. But just look at the bright sun.

You tugged Yuki by their leash and with an annoyed expression walked after you.

After a few minutes Yuki's persona finally changed and was walking out in front of you.

Y/N: your finally less grumpy haha.

When you two finally arrived at the park you took the leash of Yuki.

Yuki just did their thing in the park. Again a little different than usual..

Instead of playing with other dogs there Yuki was just standing under one of the trees looking at the leaves.

Y/N: *thinks* mm maybe they just want a little peace for once, nothing wrong with that.

You just had conversations with the other dog owners at the park and after a while you called Yuki over.

And Yuki made their way over to you slowly.

You put the leash on Yuki and walked to a near cafe to drink some coffee.

You ordered coffee and of course a little cake with it because you felt like eating something sweet.

And you also included water for Yuki.

You sat down at a table near the window and held your coffee in your hands.

It was warm and you took a quick sip of it.

You also started to eat the small cake, which reminded you of the cupcake the strange person gave you.

Y/N: *thinks* i should probably eat that too. Maybe tonight as a dessert.

You finished your drink and cake and left the cafe.

While walking through the street you heard music..

Y/N: a festival? Lets go look.

You took the first turn that was in the direction of the sound. And Yuki walked beside you.

Y/N: its Sunday so at least we should have a little fun right?

You smiled gently as you two followed the festival sounds...
