A figure in a black hoodie stood in the hallway with your keys in his hand.

His hoodie covered his face, but you took the guy for the person sitting next to you on the bus.

Y/N: yes, sorry i must've dropped them on the way.

You laughed slightly embarrassed.

The figure walked closer to you and lifter up your hand.

His hands were so cold.

The figure dropped the key in your hand and let go.

???: you should really be careful with your things. You might lose them for real.

Y/N: yeah haha.. thank you for giving it back.

You wrapped your fingers around the key.

Y/N: *thinks* he felt so cold.. maybe i should give him a warm drink as a thank you.

Y/N: say why don't i offer you a warm drink? As a thank you.

???: if it doesn't bother you.. then sure.

You smiled and unlocked the door.

You held the door open for the person.

Y/N: come in.

The person walked in and you picked up your groceries and closed the door behind.

The figure had turned on the lights already.

Y/N: so what would you like? Tea, coffee?

???: Tea is fine.

Y/N: alright. You can sit down on the couch over there.

You pointed at the couch.

The figure sat down and looked around the room.

It felt weird.. but somehow familiar having this person with you.

You looked around yourself too for a second to see where Yuki was, there wasn't any sound to be heard.. maybe she was asleep already.

You turned to the kitchen and started making tea.

You looked back at the figure by looking at his reflection of the window.

The figure was looking outside and looking a bit up so you could finally see a little of it's face.

You couldn't see it clearly but it somehow looked familiar.. maybe an old friend you forgot about.

You finished making the tea and set it down in front of the person.

Y/N: here you go. Enjoy

You smiles.

The person picked up the cup and drank carefully.

Y/N: it's not poisoned or anything.

You laughed slightly.

???: yeah i know. You wouldn't ever poison someone's tea.

Y/N: *thinks* he probably thinks that because i am acting kindly towards him.

The figure set down his tea and looked outside again.

Y/N: if you have to go somewhere you don't have to finish the tea.

???: no no i have all the time. Im just waiting for someone..

Y/N: oh well. Enjoy the rest of your tea.

You walked back to the kitchen and started putting away the groceries.

While you were busy putting them away the lights suddenly started to flikker.

Y/N: *thinks* mm must be a problem in the electricity of the buidling.

You stayed unbothered and finished putting all the groceries away.

When you turned back to the figure the lights went completely out.

Y/N: oh a black out. Are you okay sir?

It stayed quiet.

You tried searching for your phone to use as a light but you couldn't find it in your pockets or on the counter.

Suddenly a spark came from the dark. You looked closer and saw that it was a lighter.

The lighter was brought down and lit a single candle.

You walked closer to inspect but suddenly the lights all turned on again.

There was no one in the room.

Only a cupcake on the table with a small burning candle on top.

And a envelope in front of it.

Y/N: gosh this suddenly feels like some kind of horror movie.

You picked up the envelope and opened it.

There was a colorful card inside.

You turned it to see the front.

It was a birthday card..

"Happy 20th birthday"

Y/N: birthday?

You looked at a calendar on the wall.

Y/N: it was my birthday?! How could i miss that!

You looked inside the card but it didn't say anything.

You then looked up at the cupcake.

The wax of the candle almost dropped on the cupcake so you quickly blew the candle out before it ruined the cupcake.

Y/N: this is a first.. someone outside of Yuki congratulated me. Who even was that?

You placed the birthday card down on
the table and stared at the cupcake.

Y/N: no idea if this is safe to eat.
