Long days

Kelly's POV
Sitting in my office bored out of my fucking mind don't make no sense don't anyone want me to repair any glitch or sum like that it's like I've been in here writing this poem called long days.

Our nights are short
Days are long, like a wave of water
We may hate but see love
Nights are short

My life has changed
Good yes, bad I can live
My wife and sun are my happiness
Kara is an angel, Lena is a dragon
But when it turns cold
The heart of a loved one goes

Ps:days are long

You see I've written lots of poems that could be a book I hear a chuckle and my head snaps up to see Alex and Krash smiling "hey nice poem" she said half chuckle half amusement "well this is all I've done today" she frowned "what do you mean all day didn't you have things to fix or test" I looked to Krash who held out his arms "mamma" I smiled taking him from Alex "yeah but not a single piece of paper touched my desk for this company" her frown deepened.

I pull the wiggling toddler closer as he tucks himself into my chest I rub his back "did he have a nap today" I ask without even looking up when she walks back in "yeah why.......oh he seems sleepier" I nod "where did you go" she moves to my desk grabbing my things and walking to the door waiting "to talk with Andrea long days with nothing to do should be rewarded so come on so we can meet Kara and Lena at the park before we go" I frown she smiled bigger.

Getting out of the car to pack why are we packing anyway "Lex where are we going again" she looked up from Ashes bag "Midvale to see mom and old friends" I just nod swinging my bag over my shoulder and taking Alex's bag with I hand them to Kara once outside and get in the back with Owen and Andrew.

Alex has her head on the window Krash is at the window because watching all the things we past by put him to sleep tear tracks down his cheeks and a little red I put my head on Alex's shoulder and yawn before closing my eyes.

Lena's POV
I felt sleepy about an hour in so I went to sleep but I'm up and scrolling through my games on my iPad and eventually stopping to play I love hue it's a game to match colors and then switching to coin dozer but have it up five minutes back and now where on Numpuz.

I felt a squeeze on my thigh and saw Kara's hand there when'd it get their but it's fine "you ok Lee" I nod looking at her as she turned her head back at the road to a nearby gas station I saw Alex pushe Kelly's head a bit and got out to get snacks as Kara refills the tank.

I was handed a Arizona tea and gummy bears that I asked for Kara had a Dr.pepper along with Alex both had doughnuts enough to split twelve for the front and twelve for the back kelly has sat up sleepily with a coke and a pop tart but still leaned on Alex Kara got back in.

Hearing some country music playing softly is amazing it's monsters by Eric Church but earlier it was mostly Rascal Flatts Carrie Underwood George Strait and Florida Georgia Line oh and Connway Twitty love this Kara's right hand intertwined with my left and kelly fell asleep again Alex is about there we got another three hours anyways.

Maybe we've all had bad days or just long ones and to go home and meet family and relax is great no work or big city traffic jams nah just a small town and I love that idea So hip hip hooray to Long days hey I rhymed.
