Part 40 Ready To Depart

Next to the Watch Tower computer Martian Man-hunter was going over any footage available regarding Hajime to find out where he is.

"Where are you Hajime even though Batman suddenly found you and rushed off saying I should stay here in case I should call the other league members for help, and ever since he left I haven't heard anything since which should be a good thing I still fell uneasy and expect the worst".

Feeling perplexed Martian Man-hunter continued to search. Moments later his worries would be disappear.

"... Nn Hajime it that one of them".

"Yeah he's one of this worlds heroes".

Surprised Martian Man-hunter turned around.

"Hajime your here... where's Batman".

Hajime stayed silent and only stared back. Martian Man-hunter made a cold sweat that ran down his face.

"Why are you here".

"... I came here to return this ring and to talk about who it was who tried to take me away, after that i'm gone and never coming back".

Hajime's and Martian Man-hunter's eyes met and as none of them said a word Yue intervened.

"... Nn Hajime the ring".

Hajime broke his sight and faced Yue with a smile on her face. At that next moment he took the ring off of his finger and as he did Hajime's Green Lantern costume turned back into his original black and crimson demonic look.

"Here take it" said Hajime as he held it out in the palm of his hand.

 Martian Man-hunter looked down and took the ring back that belonged to his friend.

"Now that's settled lets get back to the main topic. The topic about discussing who it was that tried to take me away, for what purpose and about weather or not you've dealt with them before".

(Meanwhile near Batman's location)

"Great Hera I need to be better prepared for the upcoming battles ahead of us especially those involving Hajime" said Wonder Woman walking down the halls.

"Why? Diana I think your one our toughest members out of all of us already and besides you can't prepare yourself nearly enough to face off against Hajime. He's made that painfully clear as day" said Hal Jordan walking beside her.

"I can't help but get the feeling that our greatest battle is yet to come thus far though".

"... Well I suppose it wouldn't hurt to train some more with everyone, just in case. And besides whats the worst that could happen".

As the 2 hero's walked side by side Wonder Woman heard a faint noise just up ahead. Curious to what it was she rushed to go see what was making that sound.

"BY THE GODS BRUCE".

Seeing her friend on the brink of death bleeding out on the floor she hurried to his aid.

"Bruce stay with me what happened to you. Who did this".

Batman didn't respond.

"Diana move".

Hal Jordan checked his pulse for any signs of life.

... ... ... Ba-dump. "Thank God, okay he has a pulse but it's very faint, he wont make it to the med bay due to his injuries so his best chance for help is for John to come to us. He can heal him thanks to his shape shifting powers and fix the hole in his stomach plus it would be faster then getting him there ourselves".

"John come in it's Hal Batman's in critical condition and your our only hope to save him, come to our location now".

(Minutes before and back at Hajime's location)

"Do you have even the slightest idea who could be behind all of this" asked Hajime.

"... Given form who you fought on the moon it's safe to say that Darkseid is the one behind all of this".

"Darkseid?"

"Yes he is the ruler of Apocalypse and regarded as a God to most in this universe. Many fear his wrath".

Hajime and Yue both made a sour face.

"... So this Darkseid is a God huh..." during those words an intense pressure filled the air.

"If that truly is the case all the more reason for me to kill him by ripping his God damn head off". The demonic pressure that filled the air grew more deadly by every second that passed.

At that moment a call came in.

"John come in it's Hal Batman's in critical condition and your our only hope to save him, come to our location now".

Shocked to what he just heard he stared at Hajime with a horrified expression.

"What have you done to Bruce".

"Who?"

"Batman".

"... Oh the guy dressed up as a bat. Nothing really I just put a bullet in his stomach then watched him bleed out helplessly on the floor before making my way over here".

"WHY".

"He hurt Yue in trying to lock me up and send me away so I made sure he suffered an agonizing time before he died out".

"Damn it... Stay here while I go help h...".

"No. If you leave to save him instead of telling me what I want to know I'll be long gone by the time you get back and with you knowing what I can do can you really take that chance".

Frustrated to choose a call from Hal Jordan made up his mind.

"John?"

... "I'm on my way".

Martian Man-hunter used his powers to find there location and phase through the floor.

"...Nn Hajime what are we going to do now" asked Yue.

"I'm going to implant a tracing system to find this Apocalypse planet inside there computer so we can go there and end this once and for all".

"And me?"

Hajime lightly smiled and faced Yue. 

"You just keep looking beautiful and prepare the best you can for what we are about to face".
