Some people are always confused
They never know they are being used
Some people see what others don't
And avoid the truth that is their own.
That truth is that they can't see that the ones they love
are lying
they are lying through their teeth
that kind of skill is called deceit.
Confusion lasts longer than any clarity
It has a harder impact than crystal clear
My life is a mess and I did not see it til now
the confusion and being blissfully unaware was blinding.
But in this short moment of clarity, I see it
I see it now so clearly
so vividly
this is not what I was meant for
I should not feel this way
I should not be a mess
But we don't do shoulds around here
We fix the shoulds and go with coulds.
