BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I woke up at 5:40 to the sound of my obnoxious alarm clock. When I looked outside, it was still pitch black. Winter is coming. Yeah, I'm Game of Thrones geek. But then again, I'm every kind of geek. I slowly got out of my nice warm quilt and walked over to my closet. I slipped on my yellow sweater and dark blue jeans I picked out the night before. I couldn't see very well, so when I starting to drag my way out of the room I ran into my door sill.

"Shit." I mumbled. It felt like my head was being pounded by a hammer. I reached my hand up to head and felt a giant bump. This day was gonna be sucky.

I ran in to the bathroom and quickly put on my glasses, but right right when I put them on I regretted it. My bump was huge, red, and blotchy. I grabbed my makeup bag and tried to fix it with concealer, but no! That bump just had to haunt me! Once I put on the rest of my make up I shuffled downstairs to see my dad cooking. Oh crap. He may be an inventor, but he cannot figure out how to use the stove. I could already smell the crisp, black pancakes.

"Hello honey! There's no more cereal, so I decided to do this instead!" Thanks dad. Way to make my day worse by making me go hungry.

"Sorry dad, Giselle and I are going in early to school."

"You sure sweetie?"

"Yeah dad, I'm sure!" I grabbed a banana, my light blue trench coat, my bag and ran out to see Giselle already here. She was in her light pink bug. So typical.

When I stepped into the car I saw her wearing her white collard long sleeved shirt, a black skater skirt and maroon knee high socks.

"Are you crazy, Giselle? It's forty degrees! Why are you wearing that? It's too cold!"

"You can still be fashionable, even when it's cold outside!"

"You know, warm clothes can be fashionable too!" We both started to laugh. "So what happened?"

"With what?" I asked not to sure of where she was going with this.

"The soccer ball forming on your face."

"Is it that bad?"

"Yeah, it is. I could see it from the moment you came out of your house."

"Well not all of us are blessed with good eyesight."

When we got to school we ran inside to the cafeteria, where we started to study for our history quiz. After a few minutes of looking through our textbooks, we heard someone else walk in. When we looked over we saw Aladdin.

"What is he doing here?" I asked.

"Didn't you hear?" Giselle looked at me like I was crazy. Confused, I shook my head.

"Oh, well apparently he tried to steal some whiskey from the liquor store the other day, but instead of arresting him they gave him community service at the school." She looked at him for a few seconds then looked back down at her laptop. Aladdin was talking to one of the janitors, who was handing a mop to him. I wondered what had happened to him to make him like this.

After me and Giselle finished studying, we split up to go to our lockers. More people were starting to gather into the building. When I was walking in the hallway I saw Alice getting books out of her locker. I did a slight wave and she smiled back.

She was wearing a blue and white striped shirt with long overalls and red doc martens. Her blonde hair was down with a black headband. Alice was a freshman and was very quite and shy.

I was still looking at Alice when a tall, large guy ran into me. I dropped all my books and he just kept on walking. He being the jerk he is, John Smith.

"Crap!"
