The next days passed quickly and Bright couldn't have been more happy. If he had known the life of koala was this perfect, he would have made Mike turn him into one earlier. He was actually quite grateful towards his best friend now, even if he had doubted Mike's plans in the beginning. Bright couldn't deny the fact that Mike had given him a wonderful opportunity to be able to be with Win during the break without having to approach him.

Bright actually dreaded the day he wouldn't be a koala anymore, since he was still afraid to approach Win as a human. He didn't want to rejected and was scared to make a fool of himself, he knew he was a coward but Bright was fine with that. He was happy as long as he was able to observe and admire the wonderful guy.

He loved the life as a koala, it was perfect for him. He slept most of the day and when he was awake, he either ate delicious leaves or cuddles with Win or both. Bright had grown addicted to hugging Win, to be held and cuddled. He only wished he was human so that he could be better at cuddling back with Win but then again, had he been human, he wouldn't have dared to even be close to Win.

But there were times he was awake and was completely alone in the apartment. Sometimes Win headed out but he was never gone for more than 2 hours though. At those times, Bright would check out the apartment, checking out if there was anything interesting he could learn about Win. Not that he had found anything interesting at all, just that Win seemed to have a very sweet tooth and had for some reason, hiding lots of candies in the dresser.

This was one of the times he had been left alone and with no want to sleep. So he had decided to just sit on the dinner table and eat the eucalyptus leaves Win had left for him. Bright liked sitting on top of the table whenever Win wasn't at home. Since he was higher above the ground, it was easier to look around the apartment and he felt more comfortable sitting there.

As he was shoving leaves into his mouth, his eyes caught something in the distance. Something he hadn't really noticed before, on the bookshelf was a picture and Bright got really curious as to whom was in it. So after eating a few more leaves, he carefully got down on the floor again and approached the bookshelf. For a while, he just sat there and stared up, thinking whether he would be able to climb it or not. The picture was quite high up, at least for a koala.

He knew it would be dangerous that he might even destroy something but the curiousness was strong and overpowered him. So very slowly, he began climbing, digging his claws into the wood and hauling himself up.

A few minutes went by and then he finally was at the shelf where the picture was. He immediately regretted climbing up there when his eyes landed on the picture. It was a picture of Win and some other man. The man was having the same height with Win but heavier built and he held an arm around Win's waist. Both of them were smiling brightly at the camera.

Bright felt his heart contract in pain. Was that man Win's boyfriend? He knew what Win was a very attractive person and that he probably had no trouble in getting himself a boyfriend or a girlfriend but how could he not have known? Mike would have told him right?

Bright knew that he jumped into conclusions but he couldn't help it. He really couldn't help it. He really couldn't think in rational ways whenever Win was involved. He reached out a finger, dragging his hand over Win's smiling. He was hoping he was wrong, that the man in the picture wasn't his boyfriend.

With that thought in his mind, trying to think more positively, he decided it was best if he got down from the books shelf but the front door suddenly opened and gave him a scare. Somehow he managed to grab the picture and fall backwards, landing on the harsh floor. He had also let go of the frame during his fall and the sound of glass breaking traveled through the entire apartment.
