Chapter 8

Marlene's p.o.v

We arrived at the house and I put my stuff in my room. My mom got a suitcase full of more of my clothes. She called me down to get dressed. I wore my Gucci outfit and we went to the venue. We got there and went to my room. I ate the food that they left us to eat. Ellen came in and said I should go with her to surprise some fans and preview questions.
Me=alright let's go
I get up and walk with her and we talk about me. I tell her Luca and I just broke up.
Ellen=I'm sorry to hear that I know you guys were happy together and loved each other
Me=hopefully this can all end soon
Ellen=it will and you'll be fine you guys have so much to enjoy! You're only 14
Me=I do have a lot to enjoy
She smiles we went into a room and sneaked up behind fans talking about me. Each of them being interviewed about me and how I inspired them or helped them. I didn't realize I helped that many people and saved lives. I walk up behind each of them when they get interviewed and scare them. After doing this for an hour Ellen and I left and got ready. They touch up my makeup and my hair. Ellen left to go start the show. I went behind stage and got ready
Me=okay I got this don't think about it too much. Don't think about him you'll be fine
The crowd was yelling and cheering when she mentioned my name
Ellen=this is Marlene!
They cheered and I walked to her we hugged
Ellen=hey!
Me=hi!
Ellen=thank you for coming here
Me=thank you! It's been my dream to be on your show since I was like 11
Ellen=that's cute but not as cute as me
We all laugh. She asked me questions and we played a game that you have to name three things in 5 seconds.
Ellen=alright lets start I'll go first
I nod
Guy=name three things that you can calls boobs
Ellen=breasts, boobies and watermelons
She tapped the buzzard I was laughing so much
Me=oh gosh!
Ellen=your turn
Guy=name three things that you hate
Me=liars, man stealers and trump
I tapped the buzzard everybody laughed
Ellen=trump?
She laughed
Me=yes, i do not like that man
I laugh
Ellen=lucky you don't live in the US
She jokes
Ellen=liars everybody hates
Me=my dad being one
Ellen=how?
Me=he said he was going to the store to buy me a Barbie but never came back. I think he's still deciding on which Barbie to take. If you see my dad at target isle 7 tell him I want the purple one.
Everybody laughed
Ellen=yeah dad, she wants the purple one
I laugh
Ellen=a big one, man stealers? What's that?
Me=a girl who loves to steal your man even though she knows you were dating him.
Ellen=you're 14
Me=turning 15 next month
I corrected her she laughed.
Guy=name three things that are yellow
Ellen=banana, sun and big bird!
She tapped the buzzard I laugh
Me=big bird?
Ellen=HES so big you can't forget about him
We all laughed
Guy=name three things that start with the letter L
Me=lotion, lu- laptop and ladder
I tap the buzzard
Ellen=you were saying something before laptop
Me=huh? What?
Ellen=you said something ?
Me=no
Ellen=she did!
I chuckle
Me=nooo!
Guy=three things that you lied about
Ellen=people looking good, the weather and the time!
She tapped the buzzard
Me=people looking good?
Ellen=yeah, you look good
Me=wow the disrespect
I laugh
Ellen=in my defense I don't wear Gucci like you do. From head to toe
My mouth opened wide
Me=you got a corner I could cry by?
They laugh
Guy=name three things that you love
Me=my dog, ruski and my friends!
I tap the buzzard
Ellen=ruski huh?
Me=ruski is my best friend also my brother
Ellen=your friends?
Me=I have a lot of friends for being 14
I shrug she laughs
Ellen=your dog?
I nod
Me=she's so cute I love her
Ellen=does she bite?
Me=only when I tell her to
Ellen=if I came into your house would she bite me?
Me=you got tacos?
Ellen=no
Me=she loves tacos she would bite you if you didn't give her one
She laughs
Me=I'm serious, one time I ate tacos on my bed and she growled at me because I didn't give her one. She's a dog I got from Mexico. In Mexico dogs roam around and you can claim one and no one will say anything. Dogs roam around all day and night they even protect the property. Some dogs stay outside the whole time. I found her while I was visiting family and I picked her up got her to the vet and got her shots. And now she's mine
Ellen=that's so cute- I don't care
Me=I respect that
She laughs
Ellen=does she have siblings?
Me=no but she's very cute she's my little baby
We kept playing for a few more minutes then Ellen asked me more questions. Ellen did her regular thing and scared then I had to say goodbye. I grabbed all my stuff and left with my mom. We went back to our house. I had gotten a lot of texts from people asking about where I was, what happened between Luca and I, if I was okay, was I back in Canada, did I leave or wasn't still at the venue. I saw Kairi texted me

Are you okay?
Why'd you leave?

You're getting me worried answerrrr

Kai I'm okay don't worry. I just have an interview with Ellen today and I'm gonna go meet some people later on I think I'm not sure. Then after this I'm going back home

Home? Canada?
Congrats on the Ellen thing:)

Marlene
Yes I'm going back home to Canada, thank you

Kairi
Is everything okay?

Marlene
Luca and I broke up. I was dancing with Malcom and we got a bit too close. We did tiktoks and he said he liked me. I told him I'm with Luca and he said he didn't care.
I was leaving and then he pulled me back and he held onto me and kissed me. I kinda sorta kissed back.

Kairi
Well you're fine! If he can cheat there's no reason why it wouldn't be okay

Marlene
No! Kairi! It doesn't matter if he cheated it doesn't seem right to go and kiss another guy while I'm dating someone. Yeah I'm tired and sick of the things he's down but that shouldn't give me the right to go and cheat on him. I told him about it and he was pretty mad.

Kairi
It's fine you got supportive friends by your side!
The boys and I are leaving today in the night around 11:30 p.m
I'll text you when I get home or just randomly throughout the day

I turn off my phone and wait till my mom calls me to see if I have an interview or if I have to meet up with people.
