Marlene's p.o.v

My mom was busy today with her work stuff since she's working from home now. Ruski and I were in my room watching movies while eating snacks.
Me=today felt long
Alex=I know
Me=let's make tiktoks
He agrees and we spend two hours just doing tiktoks. It was funny but also stressful. Either way it was fun
Alex=what should we do?
Me=I don't know
We sat on my bed then laid on our backs and stared at the ceiling.
Me=you ever wonder what will happen to us in 10 years?
Alex=I'll hopefully be in the studio with you
Me=duh we're planning that already
We both laugh knowing it was a joke
Me=no but really you ever wonder?
Alex=hopefully I'll have a family by then
He smiled
Alex=what about you?
Me=hopefully at a family gathering
We laughed as we talked more

It was a good day today Alex and I decided to go to the store and buy groceries. Mom couldn't do it since she had meetings over zoom.
Me=alright let's go
I said as he started to drive to the store. We got there in like 10 minutes and got out as we put on our masks. We walked inside and got a cart. We got cereal, pancake mix, syrup etc. Once we got everything we needed we got what we wanted since mom let us.
Alex=I'm gonna get chips, cookies, candy, ice cream and frozen pizza
I laugh as he grabbed all of it. It was time for me to get what i wanted. I grabbed chips, candy, ice cream, juice, yogurt that had M&M's and Oreos in the lids. I grabbed caramel that you can dip fruit into. I then grabbed my essentials if you know what I mean.
Alex=oh yeah right
He chuckles
Me=that's it
Alex=you sure?
I nod as we got to the cashier and started to pay. Alex and the girl were flirting it was normal at this point.
Me=ready?
He nodded as he helped pushed the cart to the parking lot. We started to load up the trunk and then got in. We took off our masks and drove home. When we got there we started to unload the car and unpack the stuff. A supporter told me a few tips to stay safe when going outside and I buy stuff. She says to sanitize the bags with alcohol or hand sanitizer and to wash the fruits and vegetables with dish soap and the scrub with warm water. We did what she said and put the stuff away
Me=want to help me with instagram pictures?
He nods
Alex=if you help me with mine
Me=of course, let's go
He smiled as we left again but this time with Roxi. We brought our skateboards and chargers and our skating bags well my skating bag since he doesn't like taking his. We got to the park and I started to skate around as roxi started to run around. There was fencing around so she couldn't run away or anything like that.
Alex=I got some pics!!!
I skated over to him and he showed me them. I liked all of them but one stuck out to me but it showed my stomach

It was one where I was skating and the sun hit my face kinda like golden hour I guess you could say
Me=it shows my stomach
Alex=let's take pictures at the beach then
Me=alright
Alex=I have our sweaters in the back
Me=okay
We stayed at the park and played with roxi a bit. We finished playing with her we walked to the car and drove around
Alex=wait take pictures of me right here
We got out the car and I took pictures of him. He didn't actually ride his skateboard but they were still cool pictures.
Alex=thank you
I smile as he looked through them and posted one on his insta
Me=let's go
Alex=let's grab food real quick and buy roxi a drink or something
Me=okay let's go
We got back in the car and drove around. We didn't know what we wanted to eat so we drove around until we agreed on something. We finally decided on in-n-out it took us three hours to think of that, amazing right? You should see us when we want to watch a movie. We ate our food in his car which he didn't like so much but it was okay just this once he said.
Alex=roxi
Roxi got up and came to the front in between my feet
Alex=give her her burger
I opened up her burger and gave it to her piece by piece.
Me=calm down roxi!
I said as she almost bit my hand thinking it was some of the burger. Once she finished it I gave her some water that we got her I opened the lid and she started to drink it. I finished eating my burger and then we drove to the beach. It was almost sundown when we got there. Roxi was laying down in the sand while Alex and I were choosing a spot for the pictures. He started to take them.
Me=alright let me see
He showed them to me and I liked all of them.
Alex=which one?
Me=this one
We both smiled as I posted the picture and turned off my phone. We drove around a bit then headed home
Alex=alright I'm tired I'll see you tomorrow night
Me=night
I said as we both hugged and left to our rooms

I woke up in the middle of the night I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't. I decided to get up and put on my bra and put on my joggers and a hoodie that Mar left a long time ago. I got my phone and walked to Alex's room to ask him if he wanted to go for a late night walk or drive. We did this a lot and would get food. I go into his room and use my flashlight to see. I walk to him and kneel down by his bed
Me=Alex
I whispered
Me=Alex
I whispered a bit louder I put my hand on his arm
Me=hey Alex
I said quietly but not in a whisper voice if that makes sense
Me=Alex wanna go for a drive or a walk?
He didn't move
Me=Alex lets go please
I said shaking him a bit
Me=Alex buddy lets go for a late night drive and grab food
I said shaking him some more
Me=Alex?
I said in my regular voice. I got up and turned on his lights
Me=Alex
I yelled a bit and walked back to him
Me=Alex come on
I said as I started to shake him some more
Me=wake up Alex
This can't happen right? He's just sleeping right?
Me=Alex wake up!!
I yelled as I shook him harshly
Me=Alex!! Alex come on!! Don't play with me!!
I yelled I checked his pulse and I wish I felt something more but for right now it was better than nothing
Me=MOM!!!
I yelled
Me=Alex come on! MOM!!!
I yelled louder
Me=Alex please!
I said as I kept shaking him
Me=MOM!!! ALEX IS NOT RESPONDING!!!
I said as I took out my phone and called the ambulance
Me=MOM COME!! HE ISNT RESPONDING!! MOM HELP!!
I heard her run and she bursted into the room to us. Mom took the phone instead while trying to help me wake him up.
Me=ALEX WAKE UP!!
I said as I took him off his bed and on the floor. Roxie was barking from her cage.
Me=COME ON!!
I yelled as I tried to do CPR. I kept tying and I was getting scared. My tears kept running down
Me=Alex please don't leave me!!
I said knowing he already was going to. I touched his face
Me=don't do this to me
I whispered as I hugged him
Me=Alex
I cried out to him we heard something drop and then Roxi came running in barking.
Mom=they're coming
She said as she kneeled by him
Me=mom
I cried as she did too
Mom=come on Alex
She said holding his hand
Me=please don't leave me
I said as we heard sirens and mom ran to open the door. The paramedics came in and one of them pulled me off Alex. I kept yelling for him to let go. But he didn't. Mom grabbed Roxi and put her in her leash. She kept barking the paramedics took him out putting the oxygen mask on him.
Paramedic=meet us at the Mercy Hospital
They said as mom and I ran to the car and left Roxi with my aunt. She lived somewhat close to the hospital. We went into the hospital and they were taking him into a room. Mom and I had to wait in the waiting room. I was on the phone calling Malcom.
Malcom=is he still alive?
Me=I don't know
I cried
Malcom=its okay Mar-
Me=it isn't okay that's my brother Malcom
Malcom=Marlene it's going to be okay alright? He'll fight whatever he has to and he'll be alright
Me=Malcom I'm scared he won't be able to
Malcom=don't think negative he will alright?
Me=I just- I don't know
Malcom=I'm going to call Mar and tell him
Me=thank you
Malcom=I love you Marlene
Me=I love you too Malcom
I said as I hung up and FaceTimed him. I knew I shouldn't but he's the only one who can truly comfort me.
Me=I'm sorry to call you so late but it's Alex
I cried out and I seen him sit up quickly as he turned on his lights
Luca=what happened? Are you okay? Mar? What happened? Are you safe?
Me=I woke up and went to go wake him up so we can go for a drive like we always do but when I got there he wasn't responding I tried to shake him but it didn't work and I'm scared now
Luca=it's okay Mar I'm here for you he'll be alright okay?
He said looking at the camera and I looked at him
Luca=Alex is strong and he doesn't go down with a fight
Me=Luca I'm just scared right now
Luca=hey look at me
He said as I looked into his eyes
Luca=don't be scared Marlene
Me=I don't know Luca
Luca=is your mom there?
Me=yes but-
Luca=hug your mom and just be with her right now. Text me when you hear from the doctors alright?
Me=alright
Luca=bye Marlene
Me=bye Luca
Luca=keep your head up and don't think negative love you
Me=thank you Luca
I smiled as I hung up and sat down with my mom and hugged her. I started to pray that everything turns out right. All I had to do was wait and hope for the best.
