Bold-May
Italic-Maemi

Toma and Michiko Maho sat in the doctor's building, with their 6 year old daughter in the room next to them. "Wait, what do you mean she should have a quirk?" Asked Michiko, her face twisting with worry. Doctor Usanagi sat in front of them, with an x-ray propped on her legs. "She has a double joint,so she can't be quirkless." Answered Usanagi.
"But...her quirk should have manifested by now,she...has to be quirkless. There is no other conclusion" sighed Toma, rubbing his temples. The trio looked over at little Maemi Maho, sitting apathetically in the children corner surrounded by toys, yet she wasn't playing. "Does she act...differently than other kids, perhaps her quirk isn't visible, like an intelligence quirk." Proposed Usanagi. "Well...she makes perfect scores in all of her classes, but she has little to no social skills, she can't even start a conversation with us" Muttered Michiko, looking down at her hands.

"Well...we can...discuss this at a later date. Have a good day,Mr and Mrs Maho" said Usanagi curtly.

"What did the doctor say?" Queried Maemi, looking blankly at her parents. Michiko's hands tightened around the wheel "She said your quirk should be here any day now, sweetie" Lied Michiko, her eyes on the road. Toma looked back at his daughter, giving her a comforting smile. "I hope the doctor was lying."

Toma and Michiko froze

"I want it to appear now"

They both let out a sigh

Maemi stared out her window, watching her mother leave for work. Her father, wearing his apron, put a hand on her shoulder. "Pumpkin,it's almost time for lunch. Do you want some avocado?"
Yes she did,but...she felt like someone answer for her.
"Uhh...do you think I could have have some blueberries? They are ripe aren't they?" She asked, although she felt like she didn't. Her father blinked three separate times, before turning, and heading into the backyard.

What just happened?
—————————————————————
Okay,what was happening?

The last thing Maemi remembered was sitting in the car with her father, heading to the local store for groceries. Then...nothing,she remembered nothing after that, until now.

Here she was,Maemi Maho, standing in front of a mirror...wearing a pink princess dress. 'I look adorabl- NO,DON'T THINK LIKE THAT!! THIS DRESS IS UGLY!!'

'We look cute,don't we?'

Maemi stopped breathing, but someone else made her continue. She looked in the mirror, her eyes now a bright glowing yellow compared to their usual pale pallor.

'WHAT ARE YOU!'
'I'm your quirk,I think'
'......huh'
"You are our logic, the left. I am emotion, the right'
'This is not possible, you have to be lying.'
'I was...pushed aside at birth, separated if you will. So,in your subconscious,I developed my own personality,as logic breaking as that is. I guess normal rules don't apply to everyone."
'...wait,why are you here now? Aren't you in the corner of my subconscious? And what are the "left" and "right"?'
"Brain, the two halves of the brain. I'm the other half of Maemi, the sweet, childlike side that belongs in everyone. You kicked me out at birth, and have somehow lived without me."
'So I'm-'
'Oh my god!!!'
'What?'
'We're like the Vulcans from Star Trek!!!'

Maemi hit the right side of her head

'Owww~ okay sorry!'
'So...what happens now?'
'That depends...what do you want,Maemi?'
—————————————————————
Maemi waltzed down the stairs, skipping the final two steps. Toma was cooking dinner, while Michiko was placing away groceries. The little girl skipped into the kitchen, startling both of her parents. She began to spin in a circle, until her mother placed both her hands on her shoulders to stop her. "Maemi? Are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be,I just wanted to show off the new dress you bought me!" Giggled the girl. Both Toma and Michiko's jaws dropped, did their daughter just...giggle? "I also came to ask dad to make some blueberry pie? Dad is growing like,a ton of them in the backyard,so why don't we use em?"

Maemi?

The girl smiled at her parents before running out of the room and dashing up the stairs,a smile still etched on her pale face.

She never acted emotionless again, and never talked about how she acted before. No one brought it up,but only one question remains.

Do we know where Maemi begins and where May ends?
