Perries POV:
It was Monday morning and the weekend had been rough I'd just tried to stay out the way of everyone. I was nervous because it was my first day back today but I'd missed jade like crazy over the weekend. April drove me to school. "You ready" April said and I nodded "I'm actually really excited to see jade" April nodded "invite her around for dinner" I nodded "I will do thank you" I picked up my backpack and got out the car. I actually felt happy to be here. I walked into the office and she smiled "hi Perrie we're glad your back the headmasters waiting for you" I nodded and smiled going into his office "well it's nice to see a new Perrie sit down" I nodded and sat down. "Thank you sir I'm doing a lot better uhh why did you want to talk to me" his face changed completely he now had a frown. "It's about your exams were worried about you taking them because you haven't obviously been here" I nodded "I'll just have to revise extra hard then "Perrie it's only 3 weeks until the exams start and your behind in everything apart from English and music your gonna have to really really revise if you at least want to get a pass" I nodded "well I will now circumstances are different I have a family who can afford to give me revision resources" he nodded "right go to class then don't want you being late on the first day back" I nodded and picked up my backpack and walked to class. There was a few stares as I walked through the corridor. I got to class and saw jade standing there talking to her friend. She looked so beautiful today well she did everyday but today she looked beautiful. "Ok class everyone sit down" I walked to an empty seat near jade and her friends "whee as t do you want Edwards" one of her friends said "uhh I'd like to talk to jade if that's ok" jade nodded and pulled and out of class. "Hey" she said and hugged me "hi jade" I held the straps on my bag "Umm well April said to invite you to dinner so but you don't have to come" I couldn't look her in the face because I knew I was blushing bright red "uhh sure I'll be there at 7" she didn't sound too enthusiastic I nodded "right cool Umm see you then" she walked back into class and j trailed behind her "you wanna come sit with us" I was taken back no one ever asked me that before "Umm yeah sure" I followed jade to the back and sat next to her taking out my book.
It got to 7 and I was standing in the kitchen waiting. "You don't think this is too much" I said pointing to the huge teddy and flowers that April had gotten for me "no she'll love it ok stop panicking" I looked in the mirror and tried to decide if I should do up the top button on my shirt or not. April came over and put a tie around my neck and did it loosely. "She'll love it ok" I nodded and the doorbell went. My heart was pounding as I took the flowers holding them I opened the door and my face sunk "hi Sean" he nodded towards me "what are you wearing you look ridiculous" Sean had actually apologised for how he acted last time finding out I was gay. And we were actually ok we even joked a little bit. "A tie jades coming why do you not like it" April gave him a stern look "no I love it very charming" I nodded and sat in the sofa and waited for jade to arrive.
30 minutes past and jade still wasn't here. I still was keeping hope that she hadn't stood me up. I checked my watch again and sighed "I'm sure she'll turn up soon enough" April said as she sat next to me I just nodded a little.
Another 45 minutes passed and she was 1hour and 15 minutes late. I'd decided to sit outside about half an hour ago just to see if she was coming. It was freezing well it would be with it being the middle of January in England. Sean came out and handed me a blanket "she isn't coming is she" I said and took my glasses of placing them on the glass garden table and putting the blanket around me "I don't think so but she might" I nodded a little "wait 15 more minutes and if she's not here then take it as a no" I nodded again and checked my phone. She hadn't even texted me.
To jade 6:24 pm ~ can't wait for tonight
To jade 7:05 pm ~ did you get the address right
To jade 7:30 pm ~ let me know when your coming can't wait to see you
To jade 8:00 pm ~ let me know your ok
To jade 8:15 pm ~ don't worry about not turning up I had homework to do anyway
I sent the last message and sighed placing my phone on the table. The worst thing was she'd read every single message. Stood up on my first ever date. I went inside and saw April and Sean sat on the sofa. I blew out the candles and put the pasta I'd made in the bin along with the flowers. I took off the tie and placed it on the back of the chair. I poked my head into the living room where April and Sean were "I'm gonna go read" I said and they looked at eachother as I walked upstairs "so thirlwall stood you up then" Zack said with a smirk on his face "go away zach I'm not in the mood. I went into Ellie's room and saw her sleeping I placed the teddy next to her and put the flower in it's hand. Not gonna let it go to waste. I walked into my room and sunk down on the bed and rubbed my eyes. There was a small knock "come in" I called out and Sean came in and sat next to me "you ok" I nodded a little bit "just pissed of that she didn't come" he nodded "I get it" I nodded "you haven't ate come on" I gave him a confused look "it's not like I'm gonna murder you is it" I shook my head "I'll just get changed then" he smiled and walked out. Maybe he isn't so bad after all
