Milo writing in his book
"It's me again this must be the fifth time I've written in this book hoping that you are reading it, when I first got this mirror book I didn't believe that what I write could be seen by the bearer of the other book. I still don't entirely believe that everything I write down you can see in your book but it gives me a small ray of hope and something to take my mind off things. Which these days is in short supply, the enforcers nearly caught us today I have no idea how we have been able to evade them for this long but now they will be after us even more since to escape we had to reveal our biggest secret.... I wish I could explain what that is but there is no explanation to the horrors of our past that is now being dragged up by a king we used to look up to but have now seen for what he truly is a tyrant who only craves to control. But our sins are our own during the last war of expanse we fought for the mechanical king... I can't tell you exactly what part we played only that we were the best and worst, now we may have to relive the same horrors again if we do not get out of era city soon we will be dragged back into the war in which we have lost our faith and no longer believe in. This maybe one of the last times I can write to you as now we must take steps to ensure our escape, for in two days time we will make our bid for freedom. If you are reading this whoever you are thank you for all the times you have allowed me to air my feelings. If we never get to meet just know that when we go for the city's western perimeter and we get to gaze over the walls at the lands beyond I will think of my silent and loyal friend. "
He closes the book and puts it into his jacket pocket. He walks over to the mirror and looks at himself. Milo, Alfie and Morgan still have worn the same clothes for all this time. Each of them wore a red military drummer jacket with black decoration seams, and a white Cotton shirt as well as black trousers and boots with silver buckles and straps. They wore the uniforms during war and have not taken them off since, they saw it as their way of reminding themselves who they were and what they should not be again.

Morgan: still writing in you book
She commented leaning up from the sofa she was lying on

Milo: we all have our own way of taking our minds off things

Morgan: you know no ones reading what you are writing as you have never got anything back.

Milo: hope springs eternal

Alfie comes in he has a solemn look on his face

Alfie: trouble just heard from one of our contacts, the enforcer supreme has given out special orders for half the enforcer ranks to focus on capturing us.

Morgan: then it's confirmed they know what we are

Alfie: afraid so, this now puts more holes in our plan.

Milo: the plan itself not being the most stable idea.

Alfie: I've spoken to a few of era city's underground leaders, they are saying they will go along with the plan only if we can ensure that we don't do anything to endanger era city

Milo: why does the underground have a care for this city. I thought they wanted to end the kings.

Morgan: the underground started as a movement to prevent the expanse wars, they love they city and what its stands for but hate the king and what he has turned it into

Milo: so they have their dreams to put an end to this king's reign and instal a better king ?

Alfie: and one who will put an end to the enforcer supreme and dissolve the enforcers all together

Milo: the underground makes no sense

Alfie: well the affairs of this city will be no concern of ours soon enough once we get out.
