Three months went by as Elias planned the proposal. He found the perfect place, her favorite flowers, his best suit, he practiced asking her a million times. It was finally the day, the day of the proposal. He took her to her favorite spot, a waterfall down the river that splashed into a pond below. It was in the evening as the sunset, the sky was filled with colors. The trees have tons of flowers, exactly like the ones he had in his hand. There was a picnic next to the pond where they could see the waterfall and the sky. He took her hand as he led her to the blanket. He gestured for her to take a seat and followed after. He handed her the flowers as they were perfectly bunched in his hand with a red ribbon tied around them. The birds were singing and the squirrels were playing, as they laid next to each other watching the sunset. He started up small talk. He kept mumbling, playing with his hands and not finishing sentences. She asked him what was wrong because she could tell he was nervous about something. He said it was nothing and moved on, making small talk till almost daybreak. When the sun started to rise, the birds started to sing, the light hit the pond making it glimmer in the light, and the sky beamed with colors once again. He stood up and took her hand as she stood, confused and not knowing what was happening. He took her hands in his and looked in her eyes. He told her she was the most beautiful girl in the world, she was amazing, smart, funny, gorgeous, and altogether perfect. He got down on one knee and looked up at her as he took the box out of his pocket. He told her she was the best thing to ever happen to him and he would never want to spend his life with anyone else in this world or the next. He opened up the box to reveal the ring, as he said those magical words. Will You Marry Me? He asked her as her face lit up with love, excitement, and an overwhelming amount of emotions. She yelled with excitement Yes Yes a million times yes. He stood up and gave her a giant hug as he picked her up and spun her around. Life as they know it could not get any better. That's what they thought. Months went by and they were happier than ever. They decided it was time they got married so they went into the city, where they went to a wedding shop for a dress and a tux. She found her dream dress, it was white and fit her perfectly. It was a lace mermaid dress that curved with her body, showing all her beautiful features. He found the perfect tuxedo, black bants, black coat, white button-up undershirt, and a silky black bow tie. As they were both dressed and ready for the ceremony, they went down to city hall to get married. It was over in a heartbeat, the judge performed the ceremony, and everything went smoothly. They were officially married, and their life together continued happy and free. They went back to the woods where they added to her house. They built two more rooms and an extra bathroom. Making the house big enough for extra room. They did everything together, making a perfect relationship. They took turns cleaning, doing the laundry, and cooking. They gardened together, read, and talked together. Every day was amazing and happy. Then one day she became sick, not knowing what was going on she stayed in bed a lot. Until one day she just couldn't stop vomiting, so she went to the hospital. Turns out she is pregnant with twins one of each the doctor said, a boy and a girl. He gave her medicine to help with the sickness and the pregnancy. When she got back to her house she laid down. Elias laid next to her as she took a nap. He was in shock and so happy. He loved her and was ready to be a father, ready to have kids and love them with all his heart. What the doctor doesn't know what they do is that wolves pregnancies don't last as long as humans, so the babies could come whenever. He started preparing for them immediately. Those two extra rooms we build will be turned into nurseries. He worked fast not knowing when the babies would come. It only took two days for the nurseries to be done. They were beautiful, one pink the other blue, with wood cribs, animals and princesses all over the wall. They were exactly what Lilith wanted for the nurseries, even though she didn't get to help she loved it. Five months went by no babies, ten months went by no babies, fifteen months went by and no babies. It was crazy the babies should have been here by now. Lilith started to worry but Elias kept her calm and happy, he read to her, cooked for her, kept the house clean, and did all the gardening and hunting. He was amazing. While he was in the garden one afternoon and Lilith went into labor. He ran inside after hearing her scream. He grabbed towels, rags, lots of warm water, and a chair. He helped her give birth as one after the other the two beautiful babies were brought into their world. They were beautiful, tiny and so happy with little smiles on their faces. Lilith was healthy, and so were the babies. Life as they know it was about to change forever. As their life together is truly just beginning, not knowing what will come next and never figuring out that they had met before long ago when nothing really mattered.
