"Lies won't save you from the bomb that you just dropped, I'm standing shellshocked ."
Angad didn't understand why Veena ma'am was always so nice to him. She could be in the worst of moods, but would still spare a smile for him.
He wasn't the most obedient student, nor was he the smartest, but for some reason, he was the most liked.
"Angad, darling.", she called out, as she prepared to exit the class after a particularly gruelling session. He cocked an eyebrow enquiringly. "Meet me after school.", she said, and giving him one of her infamous winks, she left.
His closest friend, Nithean, glanced at him curiously, but said nothing.
Angad instinctively knew that Veena ma'am wanted more than just a little chat. He just wasn't sure if he was ready to give it all. But he was, by nature, a very ambitious and enterprising person. He would do whatever it took to get what he wanted.
So during PT, he surreptitiously remained in the class, unnoticed by his friends. Veena entered once the class had emptied.
"Angu, there's something I need to tell you." she said.
"You can tell me anything Veens." he replied in a caressing tone. She looked vaguely taken aback , but nonetheless revealed the secret she had struggled to keep hidden for so long.
Moving closer to him, and bending slightly so she was whispering directly into his ear, she said, "Angad, I am your mother. "
