"No matter how many times you save the world, it always manages to get back in jeopardy again."
Meera was walking home when she realised she was being followed. She ignored the man behind her at first, assuming he simply lived in the same area as her, but as she drew closer to her house and he continued to shadow her, she began to panic. She did not have any valuables on her, and it was not a district in which muggings usually took place, but she instinctively knew that she was in grave danger. She quickened her pace, knowing that if she could just get home before he caught up with her, she would be safe.
However, she rapidly became aware of the fact that he had just been toying with her. He reached her in three quick strides and grasping her hair firmly, yanked her towards him. She was about to scream, when she saw another figure walking towards them.
Oddly enough, he seemed to be wearing a cape and a mask. Both Meera and her would be mugger, drank in the sight of the man striding towards them. As he drew closer, he called out to the man behind Meera, "Let her go, or die."Her attacker quaking in fear, pushed Meera away from him and disappeared into the night. As the masked man approached her, she asked him "Who are you?"
He gave her a queer look, replied, "Don't you recognise me, Meera?" and in a fluid motion, pulled off his mask to reveal Siddhanth Vinay, the man she had been in love with since the day she had met him. Looking at his disguise, she noticed a 'V' scrawled across his outfit.Leaning closer to him, she traced her fingers across his chest and said, "What does the V stand for?"
He bent down, and sensually whispered in her ear, "Virgin." before covering his face with his mask again, and vanishing into the darkness, leaving Meera staring after him with an awestruck expression on her face.
