" You know better babe, than to smile at me, smile at me like that."
Aiyanna was watching. He was always watching. He knew if he was ever caught, he would be shunned, he would be cast out from respectable society. But he couldn't help himself. She was absolutely gorgeous. She was enchanting. He had tried to forget about her but he would catch himself sneaking glances at her out of the corner of his eye, repeatedly making his way to wherever she was.
He was not the only one to be blamed for his obsession though. She encouraged him. He knew that all he had to do was make a move and she would finally be his, but she wouldn't stay for long. He could give her all he had but he would never be able to keep her, and he didn't need her just for a short time. He needed her for the rest of his life. He was terrified of doing the wrong thing. He couldn't bear the thought of never being able to see her again.
Glancing at his watch, he left his house and watched as the love of his life, the one woman he could never have, began her shift, standing at the corner of a street, selling herself to the first interested man.
Aiyanna watched, as he always did, knowing he was the worst type of hypocrite, thinking of the congregation he would be preaching to the next day, feeling the usual guilt gnawing away at him, yet knowing that he would be at the same spot the next day, the day after that, and every single day that followed.
