"I'm not holding back Riki." I told the blue haired boy standing in front of me. "Me neither Samuru." He shook hands with me, and making me feel a little uncomfortable. It was the annual Crossfire tournament. It decided who was the best b-shot in the country for that year. Kamon didn't participate this year, so its me and Riki.
Me and Riki agreed not to lose till we got to the finals. It seems that when one of us wins a tournament, he other one will train until he is strong enough to win the other. That was the way our rivalry worked. One motivating the other to get stronger.
Riki attached his Ultimate Leg to Dracyan and formed Ultimate Dracyan. He also attached a Wide Magazine. The usual combination.
As for me, I pulled a new core from my pocket. It had gone to Mr. Saiga's shop and worked on his computer. I designed a core that would help improve my power and control while maintaining the speed of my rapid-fire. I just finished it before the competition and had no time to train with it, but it's been working well throughout the competition. "Let's go Dravise." I told my partner as I attached the core and the Cyclone magazine to him.
"B-shots, ready, aim, Crossfire!" And the match began.
I started by using the marbles on Dravise's feet and firing a row of marbles at the first few blue blocks. "Go Dracyan!" Riki yelled and fired a double drive shot. It left a green block at the bottom.
"Emblem Charge!" Both of us said at the same time.
"Ultimate Rising Overdrive!"
"Sonic Revolution Attack!"
"The overflowing azure, Ultimate Rising Dracyan!"
"Bring down the storm, Sonic Dravise!"
We both fired our special shots. Both dragons, white and blue, smashed into the green target. "Oh no." I muttered. Even the more powerful special shot was losing to Riki's. Out of the blue, I got a new idea. I told Dravise's my plan. "Are you sure you want to do this Samuru. It seems a little dirty." He tells me. "You still talk too much." I fired four shots at the targets at the side, and earning myself two points. Meanwhile Riki's special shot defeated mine.
"Wow I didn't expect that Samuru. But it isn't over yet." Riki shots a drive shot at the furthermost target and got a point.
I examined the battlefield. There was two rows at the side that allowed the player to shoot two targets at the same time. If either me or Riki got it, then the game would be over. I looked at Riki and could tell that he was thinking the same thing.
But Riki's drive shot can only take down three blocks maximum. On the other hand, my rapid fire can take down as many blocks as the shots I fire. I've got this.
"Double Emblem Charge!" Riki said as his gauntlets charged up and wings appeared.
"Ultimate Rising Overdrive!"
"The overflowing azure, Ultimate Rising Dracyan!" Riki fired a double drive shot, only faltering after firing, realising his mistake.
"Emblem Charge!" My gauntlets charged up and wings appeared. "Let's do this Dravise!" I told him. "Yeah!" I felt power surge through me. The I heard Riki gasp. A white aura surrounded me like it did for Riki.
"Sonic Tornado Strike!"
"Bring down the storm, Sonic Dravise!" I yelled.
A strong tornado surrounds the table and Dravise's B-animal appeared and smashed into the two green blocks.
There was an awkward moment of silence when the tornado cleared. Riki and I panted slightly.
Riki walked towards me, and shook my hand. "Good game Samuru." I nodded looking at a teen in the stands. He actually looks a bit like me. "Wait... What's my dad doing here? Ehh must be my imagination." Riki looked in the same direction as me. Wait... What did he see his dad when I saw a figure similar to myself?
A movement cut off my thoughts. The person raises a hand and points a barrel at Riki.
