The Love of Nekos

Chapter 10 - Achoo!

Lucy, Happy and I managed to reach the guild safely. We told the guild what happened and as much information we knew about our attackers. Now we were sitting on the bar counter drinking some hot chocolate that Mira made in shot glasses. Gramps was in his office with every S-Class wizard in Fairy Tail except for Erza and Gildarts. Erza and the others still weren't back and Gildarts is in another town doing a job.

"It's been hours since we left them, I hope they're alright" Lucy said worriedly while looking at her hot chocolate. I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth. 'Maybe I should've stayed and fight. If only I was in my normal body' I thought. Suddenly the guild doors burst open with a bang and four figures were standing there. It was Erza, Gray, Wendy and Carla! They were back safe with only a few injuries.

"Where's Natsu, Lucy and Happy?" Erza called out. "We're here Erza!" we replied in unison and they looked over to us. "I'm glad you three arrived here safely" she said. "What happened to the Four Seasons Elite Squad?" Lucy asked. "They escaped" Gray replied with a 'tsk'. "Erza, did you find any more information about them?" Gramps asked as he walked down the stairs with the rest of the S-Class wizards. "From what we know each person is codenamed after a season. The leader is codenamed Summer but I don't know what magic he has-" "fire" I interrupted. "Alright, next is Spring, she has Flower magic, Winter has Ice magic and Autumn has Tree magic" she continued.

As I was listening, Happy's tail accidentally brushed against my face and I felt like I needed to sneeze. "Ah ah achoo!" I sneeze, squeezing my eyes and felt a tingling sensation. I looked back up and notice the whole guild was looking at me in shock but wait...Why does everything look back to normal? "What? Why are you all staring at me like that?" I asked everyone. "Look at yourself Flame Brain" Gray said, "What did you call me?!" I exclaimed and jumped off the bar counter. Why am I taller? I looked down at my body and noticed I was back to normal. "I'm back to normal!" I cheered, "not completely" Erza said as she grasped my pink tail. I touched my head and felt two pink cat ears. "At least I'm back to my normal size" I said.

"Natsu how did you do that?!" Lucy asked, still in neko form on the bar counter. "I'm not sure" I replied honestly. "What were you thinking about before you sneezed?" Gramps asked. "Um...oh I wished I was back in my normal body" I replied. "Happy, put me down on the ground" Lucy said and Happy flew her down to the floor. Everyone backed away as she closed her eyes to concentrated. Suddenly in a split second, she flashed a golden colour and grew back to her normal size with blonde cat ears and tail.

She opened her eyes and looked at her body happily. "Yes I did it!" she cheered. "Lu!" Levy said before tackling Lucy in a hug. "I'm so happy I get to hug you again" Levy said and the two girls giggled on the floor. "I was meant to be doing something earlier...oh yeah, what did you call me Ice Stripper?!" I shouted, picking a fight with Gray. "You heard me Pinky!" he shouted back and Erza hit our foreheads together. "What did I tell you boys about fighting?" she scolded, "sorry ma'am" we replied scared.

"Team Natsu" Gramps called and gained our attention. "I have decided to suspend your team from doing any job requests until this issue with the dark guild has been resolved" he said. "But Gramps, we can take them down. Our team took down Eisenwald down by ourselves, didn't we?" I argued. "No, I've made up my mind. Now the S-Class wizards and I have come up with a plan. Laxus, Mirajane, Gajeel and Juvia will go search for the Four Seasons Elite Squad before they have a chance to attack us" Gramps said. They nodded and left the guild on their mission. "You seven need to go home and get some rest. You've had a big day" Gramps said before walking back up to his office. "You heard what the Master said. Lets go" Erza ordered. "See ya later Lu!" Levy said and Lucy waved back before following us out of the guild.

As we were walking towards the apartment, the sunset was bathing the sky in a fiery orange hue. "I don't know about you guys but I can't wait to have a nice relaxing bath" Lucy said while stretching her arms up. I noticed her keys were dangling from her waist. "When did you get your keys back?" I asked. "Oh Happy gave them back to me while you and Gray were fighting" she replied.

When we arrived at the apartment, Lucy walked towards the kitchen. "I'm going to go make dinner" she said. "Can I help you Lucy?" Wendy asked, "sure I would love the help" Lucy replied with a smile. "I'll help too" Carla said and then the three of walked into the kitchen. I can't wait to eat Lucy's cooking. Anything she makes is amazing.

"Ew Natsu's drooling" Gray complained. "Shut up" I hissed and his eyes widened. "It's still weird when you do that" he muttered. About an hour later, Lucy, Wendy and Carla came out with plates of roast beef dinners. "Lucy you need to grab a towel. Natsu's drool is making a pool underneath him" Gray said and I glared at him.

After we finished our dinners, the girls took turns taking a bath and then the boys took their turns. As we were getting into bed, I unconsciously walked over towards Lucy's bed. "Nah ah Natsu. Remember I said you were allowed to sleep in my bed while we were Nekos. Now that we are back to full size, you have to sleep on a futon" Lucy said, sitting up in her bed. I pouted, "no fair Lucy" I complained. "You heard me" she said in a sassy tone and then laid down on her side with her back to me. Suddenly I had an idea but I needed to wait until everyone is asleep.

I patiently laid in my futon, pretending to sleep, waiting for the time to unleash my plan to sleep in Lucy's bed. I'll call it Operation Sleeping Neko. When it was about half an hour since everyone went to sleep and they all seemed to be in deep sleep, I snuck out of my futon and silently tippy-toed to Lucy's bed. My 'prey' was sleeping so peacefully, perfect hehe.

I carefully sat down on the edge of the bed and after making sure Lucy didn't wake up, I closed my eyes and willed my body to change into a neko. I opened my eyes and saw it worked. These neko bodies come in handy. Now for the next step of my plan, I remember how I sneezed and transformed back to my usual size. Maybe it can work the other way around? I snuck up to Lucy's face and then used my tail to tickle her nose. As planned she sneezed and unconsciously transformed into her neko form. I crawled into her bed and cuddled up to her. She unconsciously cuddled closer to me and I smirked. Operation Sleeping Neko was a success.
