I checked my phone, only to see that two minutes had passed since I last checked. Today just isn't my day. Three o'clock couldn't get here fast enough. I was tired of fake smiling and laughing at customer's jokes. To add to my list of annoyance I had to hear my coworker go on and on about how this new nigga was gonna upgrade her life and how good she had sexed him. Trinity was something else. A few, oh wow, that's crazy and okay girllll throughout the conversation, and she still had not caught the fact that I didn't give a rats ass.The conversation between Trinity and I was cut short, thank God as my boss approached us, directing his attention at me. "Amira clean up the lobby, and restrooms, then get off my clock. Things are too slow today." Landon stated in a nasily tone.
I sighed in relief, however I know I'd miss this day on my next check. McDonald's is already a minimum wage, so not getting enough hours would mean an ain't shit check. I mopped the floor as I thought on where I could place applications in. I want something that pays more, and with guranteed hours.
Eventually I clocked out at 1:02, collecting my belongings from the break room. As I walked a decent pace to my car a black on black 17 tahoe swerved within my walking path irresponsibly almost taking my 5'4, 132 lbs frame out. "So, they just giving away L's nie? Cause ain no way you got yours legit."
The chocolate man flashed a perfect set of white teeth. "Yo, man girl chill wit allat." He just grinned before saying, "So, they letting legally blind folks roam free, ya ass seen this black suv. See ya ass got out the way." I simply gave him the middle finger and made my way to my 04 accord.
What an annoying day and I almost was ran over. Smh.
