Amira Wright
I had finally made it to the phone to place my one phone call. The phone looked raggedy and as if it would not work. I prayed it would work, because I could not spend another night in hell. I also, prayed that my mom would actually help me out of this situation."What the hell were you thinking Amira?? Y'all all on the news looking like y'all wasn't raised decent."
"I am sooo sorry mom, just please bail me out. I will explain everything later."
"I know you will be explaining. And, this is a first and last to me bailing you out. I'm not no damn bank."The guard walked me back to my cell. I took a deep breath entering back into the cell. I just wished none of this had never happened. I knew nothing good would follow behind this. I counted how many cracks the floor and walls had until my name was called.
"Amira Wright." Officer Jackson called in a husky tone. He did a follow me motion, showing me to the booking and processing area. I was then led through a narrow hallway. On the other side of the door stood a very pissed off Anitra Wilson.
We exited Meddleton PD in silence. I was driven to my car, and told to come home, to discuss the situation. I would've just stalled on the coming home part, but she waited for me to follow behind her.
••••••••••••••••••••Making it home, I handled my hygiene first, throwing on something comfortable. As I tied down my braids, there was a knock on my door.
"So, I know you may think I'm being too tough on you, however you need a plan baby. This. Is. Not. It. Fighting and making the news."
"Honestly Mom I just got caught up in Trina's drama. I wasn't about to leave my family to fight alone."
"Why were you over there to begin with Amira? Have I not told you, the hood has nothing good to offer? Why do you not hold this same interest to go to college or join the service?
Deciding to avoid her questions. I replied, "So, don't spend time with my cousins who I love, and that are family?"
"I'll tell you what. To better help motivate you to figure your life out. Next month you will begin paying bills. Miss a beat, and the hood can be your new home. With that she left out of the room.I made a face, rolling my eyes. This woman makes no sense at all. Life must be so perfect, and mistakes are not acceptable to her. I'm not even sure if I was still employed at McDonald's given I had missed a shift today. I'd call in the morning.
I checked various social medias, seeing I had a request from a Marc Rey. I looked over his pg to see it was the non-driver, who I suspected it to be. How does he know my name to find me on here? Whatever. I accepted his request. A few more hours of social media and tv passed until I was too tired to look at the screens.
I tossed and turned until I finally fell into a deep sleep. The next morning I was awakened by a phone call from Trina. She'd called to tell me how her man, Rod had bailed her out. She ranted on and on how he must really do love her if he left Keyonna in there. I yawned telling her, "Don't hate me for this, but I still feel if he can treat her like that and she has a kid already with him, that could easily be you later down the line." I waited for her to say something, only to hear a beep. This mad bitch done hung up. Whatever. I have too much shit to do today anyways than talk sense into her.
After handling my hygiene I dressed out into a loose sweatsuit. I placed on my earrings and a watch. I slid into my black low top vans exiting my room. I had received a text earlier this morning, before I awakened from Ray. Ray is the McDonald's General manager. The text read I no longer had a job. The text also read, that I could pick up my final check later in the week and would be given an explanation as to why I was fired. As pissed as I was, it was time for another job anyways. Let the search begin.
"I need you to take them to the park this evening. I'm taking an extra shift and won't be able to." My mom said as she gathered her work bag. I rolled my eyes as, she couldn't see me doing so. I simply replied, "Okay. "We'll also talk about using your first offender act to clean your record tomorrow." I okayed her again, as she walked out the door. I pulled out the laptop applying for Kroger's, Walmart, and Hobby Lobby.

Before heading to the park, I swung by Chick Fil A. I wanted a milkshake, and decided we all would have one. Once we'd made it to the park, it was already half filled with cars."Do I wait in the car until y'all practice is over orrrr?" Cj answered saying it didn't matter. Cj and Mia went in while I sat in my car filling out more applications on my phone. I eventually grew restless and decided to go in. I sat down in the bleachers. There was a lot going on. On one side the adult men played ball, while the other side held the kids basketball practice. I soon spotted the Marc guy looking at me, while licking his lips over. I rolled my eyes focusing back on the kids practice. I watched them do a cool down workout.
"Aye, I just wanted to genuinely apologize about the other day, and tell you that ya too beautiful to be fighting." It was him. The Marc Reynolds.
Lightly smiling, "It's all good. With everything that's going on in my life that's not on my mind anymore and thank you."
"Cool. Cool. Well it'll get better, and looks like I'll be seeing you around more often." I just smirked leaving him standing there to get my brother and sister. The ride home consisted of my brother asking how did I know Marcus and how good he played basketball. Fan behavior. Smh.
