I Followed A Boy

Episode 13

I always saw Rosé as a spoiled brat, I had never seen this side of her.
I realized why she behaved that way. She was lonely .
After I carried to her room she didn't want me to leave .
This shows how she needs people by her side.

I called Blake out for  drinks.
" what's going on?"
Did you know about Rosé's mom?"

" yes"

" what? And you didn't even share it with me, I bet you shared it with Dorm "

" I didn't tell anyone and why would you say I told Dorm?"

" Are you sure there's nothing between you two cause on the day of the thunderstorm I saw you kissing "

" Steve..!"
" okay, fine I think I have feelings for him"

" what? ,what do you know about him"
" And when did this start?"

" On my birthday "

" that long ago?"

" we were drugged by my stepbrother "

" Yet you didn't tell me about this"
" do you not trust me anymore? "

" No it's not that, of cause I trust you"
" it's just that, I didn't want to burden you with the witch's actions."
" And besides you were spending time with Rosé and you seemed to be having a good time."
" by the way, are you into her?"

" what are you talking about?"
" I am into Rosé? "
" that's impossible "

" okay, if you say so, but your actions say otherwise"

" Don't try to change the topic"
" we were talking about your new flame"
" and besides you've made Rosé sad, how could you?"

" come on Steve, you clearly understand that I was protecting her."
" I promised Aunty "
"Since she said she was getting better and will be home soon"

"Protecting?"
" Blake you've changed"

I walked out of the bar and went home.

Steve seemed really different. He took everything in said differently.
" have I really changed that much?" I thought to myself.

I know I kept a lot from him but I just didn't want to be a burden.

Over the years Steve has been by my side and protected me from so many things.

" how well do I know Dorm?"
" is he the guy who stole from me?"
" or the one who saved me  so many times?"
I thought to myself.

I went home a few minutes after he left uncertain about my actions.

After the mistakes of the day I forgot to send the documents to the accounts office.

I went to bed hoping to send it tomorrow. Tomorrow came and I stood in front of the company when a voice stopped me from entering.
"Blake?"
I turned around to see P'Sake stepping out of his car and waving at me.

I couldn't help but frown as he walked towards me.
I decided to ignore him by walking away but he ran and stopped me by blocking the entrance with his arms.

" P'.…..!" I complained.
" excuse me, I have something important to submit"
I ordered.

" Okay, then I'll wait for you here"
He moved away and I proceeded.

After submitting the document I was hesitant.
I didn't want to go through the main entrance, since I had nothing to say to him.

"Excuse me, where is the emergency exit?" I asked one of the female staff.

She directed and I went down the staircase to the ground floor.

I went down so fast that I was so exhausted when I got to the ground floor.

I thought I had escaped from him but a sound of clearing of throat told me other wise.

" Ahem..."

I looked to the right and saw the person I was trying to get rid of leaning on a wall with his arms crossed.

His face bragged about the fact that he was able!to read my mind.

" P'Sake.? "
" why are you here?"

" I should be asking you that."
" I told you I'll be waiting for you at the main exit."

" what do you want to talk about?"

As he took a step closer I took a step back.

He held my hand and dragged me along with him to his car saying " I want to talk but not here let's go somewhere else."

" no I don't want to " I rejected.
I pulled away from him and I suggested
" I'll go with you but I'll follow in my car."

"Okay"

I got into my car and soon we were at a children's home .

" why did you bring me here?" I questioned.
" if you had told me , I would have prepared gifts for the kids" I added.

" you can come again next time but now there's  someone I would like you to meet."

He held me by the hand and dragged me to a young lady who was playing with the kids.

She seemed very happy running around with the children.

" P'Sake..! " she called with a smile on her face.

She walked towards us and wai I wai back at her and P'Sake introduced her to me as his girlfriend.

I was relieved at the mention of "girlfriend".

I realized ,he wasn't trying to hit on me.

She went back to the children after we were introduced  and we sat on a lovers bench under a tree looking at children running around.

" I'm sorry about everything "
" I'm sorry, for what I did in middle school. "
" I know no amount of sorry can take away what I did"
" I'm sorry for making you feel uncomfortable "
" And I'll like to say thank you for helping me"
 
  He suddenly went down on his knees and wai.
I was shocked.

" get up"
" you don't have to do this"
I helped him off his knees and he held my hands.

" it's okay, I forgive you"

" thank you very much Blake"

After few minutes I left the orphanage after saying goodbye to him and his girlfriend Anita.

I drove home and noticed Dorm's absence.
I tried to call him and I realised that my phone was off since I didn't charge it.

I saw my stepbrother eating at the table and I asked.
" have you seen Dorm?"

" Dorm?,no"
" wait yes, he said his friends are coming over"

" his friends ?"

" yes, his friends "

I walked away and charged my phone and fell on the bed.
