When Alfred woke up, Ivan was gone. He looked around for a few seconds, spotting him next to the fish tank full of flowers.

"There's only two more left," Ivan said happily, turning around as Alfred smiled, beckoning him closer before kissing him. Ivan smiled as Alfred buried his face into his scarf, feeling his breath against his neck as he ran his hands up his back.

"There's still two more days," Alfred replied, smirking.

"But, we're missing-"

"No, we really aren't," Alfred said, two materializing out of nowhere, "I love you."

"I love you too," Ivan replied, kissing him deeply. Alfred flopped onto his back, dragging Ivan with him.

"What have I ever done to deserve you," Alfred muttered, running a hand against his cheek, "I love you so much."

"Me too," Ivan replied, pecking him on the lips again, "perfection."

Ivan paused for a second, looking at the flowers with a confused air, "How did you get those?"

"Oh, being an asshole. Waki broke after a few minutes of meowing," Alfred replied, "Ameny was a little harder though, but hiding behind corners and sneaking up on people should be counted on my resume."

"Oh my god," Ivan said, facepalming, "do they even like me?"

"Not at all, but they hate me more," Alfred shrugged.

Ivan laughed, kissing him on the temple as Alfred let out a purr, kissing him lightly before nuzzling under his neck.

"You're gorgeous," Ivan whispered, kissing him on the ear.

"I haven't even brushed my teeth yet," Alfred replied, pouting, "I'd like to do that before the alarm goes off-"

"It's not even five yet," Ivan replied, pointing over to the alarm clock, which rang 4:49 in bright red letters. Alfred grumbled under his breath, putting his face back under Ivan's neck.

"Can we go back to sleep then?" Alfred muttered, "I want to sleep."

Ivan hummed, picking Alfred up under his thighs as he stiffened before slumping, hiding his face in Ivan's shoulder as he moved him so he was laying down, snuggled into his arms.

Ivan mumbled something, feeling that Alfred was uncomfortable. Feeling him grip into his shirt as legs tried to tangle closer.

"Shh..." Ivan said softly, running hands through his hair and pulling him closer, rolling so that he was on his back and Alfred was laying on him. He knew he would be numb in the hour it took before he woke up again, but he knew he wouldn't regret it.

"What's wrong?" he asked, feeling Alfred kiss his chin. He normally would go to sleep immediately, that's what he was like. As soon as he was warm and comfortable he was out like a light.

"I had a nightmare, that's why I woke up," Alfred whispered, "I... I don't want to go back to sleep."

"Then you don't have too, milyy (sweet)," Ivan replied, smiling as he felt Alfred press closer, "whatever you want to do."

He smiled, feeling Alfred kiss him. Ivan wondered why he was so fearful, so anxious. They would be married! And he loved Alfred, did Alfred not love him?

He gently pushed Alfred away, his heart pulling when he saw that concern and fear in Alfred's eyes. Why was he scared? Was it because he was worried that he made him angry and he was afraid of being hurt?

"Why do you love me? And don't say prophecy or something weird like 'you were the only one who understood me'," Ivan said, running a finger up his chin.
