"King Ral," an owl, Cavetalon, said, "I have a message from King Edmund. He is offering to marry your daughter, Princess Annie."
"Thank you for the message," King Ral said, "Would you like to stay for a night until I've made my decision?"
"Thank you your highness," Cavetalon said, "King Edmund will want me to come back in a few days time but I can stay for a while."
"Rabir," Ral called.
"Yes your Majesty?" Rabir, one Ral's servants, answered.
"If it was your decision, would you have my daughter, Annie, marry Prince Gorphi or King Edmund?"
"I would have her marry King Edmund, your Majesty. King Edmund would take good care of your daughter and she would have Queen Susan and Queen Lucy to help keep her company along with Natasha if Natasha wishes to stay with her. She would also become a Queen as King Edmund's already a King. If your daughter marries King Edmund, it could also mean an alliance with Narnia which would really help us if we were to be attacked by some army that's bigger than ours."
"I'll think about it more tonight and I'll have my final decision tomorrow for the owl," Ral said.
Meanwhile, Annie and Natasha were out riding horses.
"Race you back to the castle!" Annie shouted. She then had her horse gallop. Natasha had her horse gallop after Annie's. Natasha and her horse won the race.
"That was so fun!" Annie exclaimed.
"Yeah," Natasha agreed, "We should head back, dinner should be ready soon."
"Okay. Have you ever been to Archenland, north of Narnia, or to the Lone Islands?"
"I've been to the Lone Islands once, why?"
"I would love to go on a huge adventure to see Archenland, Calormen, the Lone Islands, and the northern parts of Narnia like Ettinsmoor. That would be a dream come true if I could go on a great adventure like that."
"I don't know, you'll have to see what your father says about that. Even then, we don't know who you're going to marry. Depending on who you're going to marry, you might not be able to go."
"I hope that I'll be able to go regardless and I would bring you along with me."
They had arrived at the stables. Two stablehands held the horses still while Annie and Natasha dismounted and then led the horses away. Annie and Natasha went back to the castle to change out of their riding dresses. When the whole family and Natasha were eating dinner, Ral spoke.
"Annie, I'll be making a decision on who you're going to marry tonight and I'll have my final decision tomorrow."
"Yes Father," Annie said, "I was hoping that you would let me go to see Archenland, Calormen, the Lone Islands, and the northern parts of Narnia like Ettinsmoor?"
"I'm not sure..."
"Father please! It would be a dream come true if you let me!"
