~Rachel's P.o.v~

"Dad I'm so happy your home!" I yell jumping into his arms "how's my boo bear I missed you so much!" He says. my dad and the guys just got done with his recent tour.

"Andy baby I'm so happy your home" my stepmother Jen says giving him a kiss I scowl in disgust. I absolutely loath Jen she's a total bitch but If never say that out loud because my dad deserves to be happy. "hey dad" my younger step brother Eric says he's 13 but I'm 16 a junior in high school.

"So dad when are the guys going to come over?" I ask him "probably tomorrow" maybe I could see if him and I can have a batman marathon like the old days. "hey dad I wondering if we co-" I was cut off by ken asking for him to come in the kitchen "hold that thought" he says getting up "sure thing" I say waiting for about twenty minutes.

getting up going to my room I sigh grabbing my phone dialing Tanya's number waiting for her to pick up.

T- sup bitch?

R-nothing much whore my dad just got home and the evil witch has already stolen him.

T- what do you mean?

R- well I was about to ask if he wanted to have a batman marathon but Jen told him to come in the kitchen for a sec twenty minutes later he still didn't come out so I come up here.

T- wow how come it's whenever you have to talk to him she magically needs him

R- I don't know

T- ooooo you should come to a party with me it's at 11:00 pm pleeeeaaassee

R- you know I can't go out that late

T- phft that's easy just sneak out your window you have a tree right next to it duuuh!

R- Tanya I don't know I mean wh-

T- BITCH YOU BETTER COME TO THIS FUCKING PARTY OR ILL KICK YOU ASS SO HARD YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SIT FOR A WEEK.

R-but it's Wednesday Tanya

T- nope sorry you can be a hermit some other day your coming put on cute clothes I'll be at the end of you block at 10:30 if you don't come I'll shank you in you sleep love you byyyye!!!

I was about to protest but the line went dead....well it looks like I'm going to a party tonight.

I set the phone down and was about to read the book I've been recently reading called gone with the wind, when there was a knock at my door.
"Come in"

"Hey dinner is ready" Eric says "ok thanks be down in a minute" I reply and he nods closing the door.
Unlike my stepmom I love my half brother he's sweet... annoying but sweet.

Getting up I walk downstairs sitting down at the table and start eating the stroganoff Jen made and began to think maybe if I ask dad right now if we could hangout I can get out of going to the party. "hey dad I was wondering if you wanted to hangout and watch batman" I ask smiling but when I see his frown my smile drops from my face

"Oh.. I'm sorry boo bear I promised Jen I would spend time with her" he says "fine" I said coldly pushing out my chair and walking upstairs.
Why can't it be just dad and I still? ...Why can't mom still be alive? With that thought a tear rolled down my cheek.

I remember a few days ago when dad was still on your and I came home late because i got detention for accidentally.. yeah accidentally flicking a pencil at my English teacher.

Jen got so mad she started yelling at me saying I was worthless and when I tried standing up for myself like my dad always taught me to do she slapped me it got me so pissed it felt like a raging inferno was heating up my skin all I kept thinking in my head was for her to be dead I started seeing a vase shake near the backdoor I got so freaked out I ran up to my room I guess she didn't see because all she did was yell don't come out till you learn to behave..
