Takeover New Orleans

Tonight is the biggest night of my career so far. I'm competing in the main event of NXT Takeover for the NXT Championship. While the show is going on I'm in the back warming up when Leah comes up to me and smacks my ass.

Oliver: Really babe?

Leah: What? That gear makes your ass look good. I couldn't help myself, are you nervous?

Oliver: A little bit. I know once I get out there I'll be good.

Leah: Well I got to go I need to be out in the crowd for your match.

I kissed Leah and then I continued to warm up.

*Main event time*

Nigel: What a night we've had here tonight. On behalf of myself, Mauro, and our special guest commentator Corey Graves we want to thank all of you for being with us tonight.

Graves: Thank you for having me tonight gentlemen. The stars are all here tonight for NXT Takeover New Orleans.

The camera cuts to the crowd and they show some WWE Superstars. Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Sonya, Mandy, Paige, and Leah were all shown.

Mauro: We're not done yet, up next we have the main event It's Robert Roode vs Oliver Pierce for the NXT Championship. This feud started a few months back when the Revival and Robert Roode took out Pierce's partner Jackson Slater.

They showed a video package showing all of the highlights from our debut match against the Revival and everything leading up to this moment.

I made my way down to the ring and waited for Robert Roode. William Regal banned the Revival from being ringside tonight to make sure it was a fair one on one fight. Once the match begins we go right after each other.

*End of match*

Mauro: Pierce and Roode are giving it their all tonight.

Nigel: These men have no quit.

Graves: I've known Oliver for years and he will not quit.

Roode connects with a Glorious DDT and goes for the cover. I kicked out at the very last second. Roode is getting really upset that he couldn't put me down. As Roode goes to pick me up off the ground I went for a roll up but he kicked out and I jumped right back to my feet and once he got to his knees I hit him with a super kick and then I picked him up and connected with a GTS. Robert is now laying in the middle of the ring and I climb to the top rope and went for a shooting star press. I went for the cover and the entire arena is counting along with ref 1..2..3..

Nigel: He did it. Oliver Pierce is the new NXT Champion.

I'm on my knees and the ref hands me the title. I just looked at it for a moment and then kissed it. Next thing I know I feel Leah jump on me I got to my feet and kissed her and then she held my arm up in victory. The crowd started to cheer even louder and when I looked up I saw Jackson walking down to the ring and he's clapping. Once Jackson gets in the ring we hugged I looked at Jackson and told him that I did this for us. We celebrated a little more when we left the ring Jackson puts his arm around me the next thing I know he throws me into the steel steps. Jackson is now on top of me laying into me with punches then he throws me back into the ring and hits me with a swinging neck breaker. Leah is in the ring trying to get him to stop but he keeps attacking me, Jackson turns his attention to the NXT Championship and picks it up. Once I get to my feet he hits me in the face with it, Leah has a mic and tries to reason with him.

Leah: Jackson that's your best friend what are you doing?

Jackson goes over to the time keeper area and takes mic.
